Hello! Are you ready for the first educational day? We prepared for you a very useful post!

How to use university schedule? Part 1.

1. Where to check the schedule?
https://ruz.spbstu.ru/

2. How long does the lesson last?
full-time education:
08:00 – 09:40
10:00 – 11:40
12:00 – 13:40
14:00 – 15:40
16:00 – 17:40
18:00 – 19:40
* sometimes students' classes may start at 09:00, check your schedule.

3. What are streaming classes (potokovie lectures)?
Streaming classes (usually lectures) are those that take place simultaneously for all groups of the course. They usually take place in one of the large lecture halls, where all groups gather at once.

4. Class format
Classes in the fall semester are held in a mixed format.
✔️ for traditional face–to-face classes, the schedule contains the audience number,
✔️ for remote – it is written "REMOTELY" instead of the audience number .

5. Лек, пр and лаб in schedule - what does it mean?
Лек means lecture, пр means practical class, лаб - laboratory work

How to use university schedule? Part 2.

The first and the second week?
We have 2 different week in schedule: the first and the second. They are marked in the schedule with numbers I and II. They are also called even (II) and odd weeks (I).

Odd week is the upper part in the schedule line, even week is the lower part. An even week begins on September 05, an odd week begins on September 12, etc.

For example:
✔️ If the class is in two weeks at once (blue rectangle), it means that you will have this subject every week: both even and odd.

✔️ If the class is only in the first cell (red rectangle), it means that the class will only be on odd weeks.

✔️ If the class is only in the second cell (green rectangle), it means that the class will only be on even weeks.

✔️ If the cell is empty, then there are no classes at this time.

Did you know that Polytech has its own organ? 🎶

There are around 140 Johannus organs in Russia and 15 in St. Petersburg. But only some of them, including the organ in the White Hall, are made by the unique master Dirk Kuydis, who has dedicated over 50 years to this work.

On September 30, a unique program of an organist from Germany will reveal the nature of sound and the source of human emotions with the help of a multifaceted palette of organ sound.

Learn more about it: https://clck.ru/xyvkS

Do not forget about free entrance for Polytech students 💚
