Adventurer: a Polytechnic University student from Indonesia talks about life in Russia 🇷🇺
Herlin Idris came to St. Petersburg from Bogor, a city in Indonesia.
He is the winner of the International Student Olympiad Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project, and is a master's degree student at the Institute of Machinery, Materials, and Transport, where he studies new materials and additive technologies.
Herlin says that by nature he is an adventurer, that is why he was not afraid to come to a distant country, get acquainted with the harsh Russian winter and fall in love with St. Petersburg with all his heart.

👩🏫 Получение образования в России - это хороший фундамент для построения будущей карьеры. Наши университеты входят в мировые ТОПы в традиционно сильных для России научных областях – математике, а также в социологии, политике и международных отношениях, экономике и эконометрике, информатике и IT, горных науках, машиностроении, автоматизации и управлении, образовании.
Наше образование качественное и доступное. Оно включает в себя опыт советской модели и современные технологии: в вузах еще преподают те профессора, академики и ученые, которые были приемниками и учениками Нобелевских лауреатов. Одновременно с этим, все вузы давно прошли процедуру цифровизации, и показали высокие результаты научной и учебной деятельности даже «на дистанционке» во время пандемии.
🔬🧬Развивается студенческая наука. У ребят есть доступ к лабораториям и исследовательским центрам, а также
к инновационным технологиям: 3D моделированию

В новостях могут рассказывать что угодно, выставлять РФ только в негативных красках. Но даже в нашем проекте вы еженедельно видите яркие и счастливые лица иностранных студентов. Мы учимся, дружим, снимаем видео, смеемся. Мы счастливы.

Так же учеба в РФ - это комфортно. Одна из самых развитых банковских систем в мире, доступная медицина, туризм, транспортная система в городах. И все подключено « в онлайн». Приложения государственных услуг, доставка любых продуктов и медикаментов - все в смартфоне. И все это в нашей стране. 🤳
Блокировка SWIFT? Спокойно пользуемся картами МИР. Ушли бренды? Есть российские дизайнеры! Нет популярного фастфуда? Так у нас в каждом шагу гастрономия, да и сами иностранные студенты рассказывают, что их любимый фастфуд - шаурма 😂

I'm Zeki Kocaoglu who came to Russia 2 years ago from a warm country Turkey. I finally graduated from Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University and got my master degree.🎉
It was difficult and simultaneously enjoyable. I learnt lots of technical knowledge but most important thing learnt to learn. The university taught how to learn lifetime by myself.
During these 2 years I also made many friends from another countries, experienced Russian culture, travelled in this amazing city and learnt part of Russian language. 🇷🇺
Now time to go and contribute to Turkey's first nuclear power plant. 👨🏻🎓

The program includes a large number of courses from various disciplines. Training is in English, upon completion of the courses, students are awarded international credits.
