New prospects for innovation and cooperation with our Indian colleagues🤝

The Chairman of the Indian Secretariat of the SCO Business Council and Chief Executive of Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd., Tribhuvan Darbari, visited Polytechnic University as part of his participation in the SPIEF'24 event.

Mr. Darbari is the head of Adventz Group, an Indian conglomerate that is involved in critical projects under the Make-in-India initiative launched by the Prime Minister of India. During his visit to Polytech, Darbari sought to familiarize himself with the scientific and technical base and achievements of our university.

The two parties discussed the main areas for cooperation:
1️⃣ implementation of SPbPU technologies at Adventz Group's industrial enterprises
2️⃣ training and retraining programs for highly qualified specialists together with Indian universities and Russian industrial partners

SPbPU at the meeting with the Shanghai Science and Technology Committee🇨🇳

The Committee for Science and Higher Education of St. Petersburg held a working meeting with a delegation from the Committee for Science and Technology of Shanghai, China.

What was discussed:
📌work of the CSHE in general and about the interaction with Chinese scientific organizations, universities and companies in particular
📌current activities of the Shanghai Committee and plans to expand cooperation with the CSHE, organizations and universities
📌activities of the Institute of Photonics and Precision Mechanics of CAS and plans for cooperation with research institutes of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and SPbPU
📌results of work of SPbPU Representative Office in Shanghai, including that relatively recently SPbPU International Center in Nanjing was opened on the basis of Jiangsu Research Cluster of Industrial Technologies

Scarlet Sails is a famous school leavers' holiday celebrated annually in St. Petersburg🎓

RAFU at the UNESCO Sustainable Development Conference💡

SPbPU hosted the International Conference «Quality of Education and Sustainable Development — the Basis for International Cooperation» organized by the Department for Multilateral Cooperation and Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the UNESCO Chair of SPbPU.

In the context of the UNESCO Chair — the work of the «Russian-African Network University», which Polytech took the lead in 2023, meets the goal of ensuring equal access to quality education and international cooperation for sustainable development.

At the conference RAFU participants discussed the role of network universities in training and promoting sustainable development in African countries. The priority task of «Russian-African Network University» is to improve the quality of education, the level of training of qualified personnel in African countries.

Advanced Engineering School of Polytechnic became the winner of the Digital Leaders Award⚡️

The advanced engineering school of SPbPU Digital Engineering won the Digital Leaders Award — 2024 in the nomination «Import Substitution: Product of the Year» of the priority area «technological sovereignty». The best product was recognized as the Digital Platform for the development and application of digital twins CML-Bench®. Advanced Engineering School of Polytechnic was represented by Alexey Borovkov, Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation of SPbPU.

The CML-Bench® digital platform is a unique Russian development focused on ensuring the design and production in the shortest possible time of globally competitive high-tech products in various industries and new markets.

Polytech hosted a delegation from Gansu Province🤝

Our university hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Gansu Science and Technology Department, China. The International Cooperation Office of this department is a key governmental organization in the province, engaged in the development of plans and implementation of projects in the field of international scientific and technological cooperation.

Ms. Liu Yemei, Director of the Office of International Cooperation, made a report on the international activities of Gansu Province and the prospects of cooperation with Russia. Chinese colleagues are committed to the principles of open cooperation and mutual benefit and proposed expanding participation in the "One Belt, One Road" program. They support exchanges, scientific cooperation, and joint innovation between universities, research institutions, and science and technology companies in Gansu and Russian universities.
