Graduation party 2023
June 30th!
Here is the schedule of the event:
⚡️ 19:00 - Ceremony on the square near the Research Building, where congratulations and farewell words will be given by the university administration.
Please note that gowns will be given only (!) to Master's and Specialist's graduates in aud. G1.01 of the NIC. Entrance will be through the assembly gate from 17:00.
⚡️ 19:30 - 22:00 - Musical holiday which will be held at various venues on campus:
🔺Venue No. 1 (main stage near the New research building) - popular music
🔺Pitch No. 2 (stage near the First Corps) - jazz
🔺Playground number 3 (stage near the Polytech Tower) - DJ set.
🔺Also there will be sport activities, photo zones, snack zone etc.
The congratulations from Institutes will take place from June, 28th till July, 10th. Please check with your institutions' directorates for more information.

❗Wait for the response from a manager of the Admission office for International students (hereinafter – Admission manager) in the chat of SPbPU online application system.
! Note: Your passport must be valid for 1.5 years (18 months) after the expected date of your arrival in Russia.
! Important: If you are in Russia and if you plan to get enrolled in SPbPU without leaving Russia and coming back, you must submit a copy of your fingerprint registration confirmation document.

Scientists at Polytechnic University have improved technology to combat cancer 🧬
A scientific team from the Institute of Biomedical Systems and Biotechnologies of SPbPU has increased the effectiveness of photothermal therapy in the treatment of malignant tumors. The scientists proposed simultaneous application of selenium and gold nanoparticles and created special capsules for their delivery to tumor cells.
Photothermal therapy is a method of treating tumors with thermal energy. Its advantages are minimal invasion and the possibility of local impact on cancer cells.
