WATCH: A Florida Highway Patrol trooper and a Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputy narrowly avoided serious injury early Tuesday when a vehicle drifted onto the shoulder of Interstate 95 and struck their patrol vehicles during a roadside assistance call.

Trooper Clark, assigned to Troop D, was assisting a disabled vehicle around 1 a.m. when the driver approached on the shoulder and nearly struck him and the deputy, according to a news release.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles released dashboard camera video of the scene following the incident.

New York: An on-duty Blooming Grove police officer was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash Tuesday evening on Mountain Lodge Road near Helms Hill Road.

The officer, the only occupant in the vehicle that crashed around 6:30 p.m., was taken to a hospital by ambulance and has since been discharged.

California: A San Jose police officer was shot and taken to the hospital after a carjacking sparked a multi-agency pursuit into San Benito County before returning toward San Jose.

Authorities said that around 2:37 p.m., a green Corvette was allegedly carjacked in San Jose. San Jose police were later able to locate the stolen vehicle using a tracking system.

A pursuit involving San Jose police then began and continued south to Hollister. In an update, the Hollister Police Department said that at about 3 p.m., Hollister police and San Benito County deputies were involved in a pursuit that resulted in gunfire.

Hollister police said the suspect abandoned the vehicle on Westside Boulevard while armed with a firearm, engaged with officers, then ran on foot and eventually took another vehicle.

Hollister Police said Westside Boulevard is closed from Central Avenue to Buena Vista Road, and Buena Vista Road to Locust Avenue, and will remain closed until further notice. Authorities asked the public to avoid the area.

After that confrontation, investigators said the suspect carjacked a second vehicle and drove north back toward San Jose.

Officials said the suspect was later involved in another shooting with police in the San Jose area, though it was not immediately clear which agency was involved.

As a result, officials said an officer was shot and taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

Megan Bos should have turned 38 today.

Megan’s body was found two months after she went missing at the house of an illegal immigrant, Jose Luis Mendoza-Gonzalez. He hid Megan in a bleach filled trash can on his yard, only a few dozen feet away from where volunteers searched and hung posters.

Sanctuary policies failed Megan Bos as they have failed countless Americans who should still be alive with us today. Restoring law and order means that not a single other American has to lose their life because of someone who shouldn’t even be here in the first place.

The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office is deeply saddened to report the tragic death of one of our own.

Louisiana: At approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning, Deputy Tim Jordan, a four-year veteran of the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, was struck by a train while working a traffic assignment. Preliminary information indicates Deputy Jordan may have misjudged the proximity of his vehicle in relation to the train track.

Deputy Jordan was immediately transported to Ochsner LSU Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington stated, “This is an extremely difficult day for the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Jordan’s family, and his fellow deputies. Deputy Jordan was a dedicated public servant who took pride in protecting the citizens of Bossier Parish, and his loss is deeply felt throughout our agency and community.”
