Installing Custom ROMs

1. Backup calls and texts using sms backup and restore .
2. Reboot into twrp.
3. Backup boot, data, system, vendor, product to sd card in case you want to go back to your current system
4. Wipe caches, data, system
5. Install Rom and your kernel
6. Format data (not just wipe) and then Install dmverity
7. Wipe caches. Don't reboot
8. Go to main menu. Select reboot. Select recovery
9. Reboot to system
10. Wait a long time (up to 10 minutes?)
Select your language
11. Restore data from smart switch or Google restore
or
Skip through setup and Restore data from twrp
12. Install Magisk if you want root
13. Install dmverity (in case step 8 didn't work)

If you need to install GApps
14. Wipe, advanced wipe
15. Select system, repair or change
16. Resize file system
17. Install GApps

To backup ROM before you go to a new system
Backup boot, data, system, product, vendor

Using AnyKernel3

1. Download AnyKernel3-Master.zip from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/dev-template-anykernel3-easily-mod-rom-ramdisk-pack-image-gz-flashable-zip.2670512/
2. Unzip it in Linux
3. Put Image and/or dtbo.img into the Anykernel3-Master folder
4. Modify the anykernel.sh to add your kernel's name, boot partition location, permissions for any added ramdisk files, and use methods for any required ramdisk modifications (optionally, also place banner and/or version files in the root to have these displayed during flash)
5. Open terminal
6. Navigate to the AnyKernel3-Master folder.
7. enter
$ zip -r9 My-Kernel.zip * -x .git README.md *placeholder
8. My-Kernel.zip is created inside the AnyKernel3-Master folder.
9. Transfer the file to your phone and flash from TWRP

My CRB debloat list
If you debloat manually, don't delete files. Just move them to a new folder in case you want them back.

Escaping the Black screen of Death.

How to reduce battery 🔋 drain

1. Delete battery sucking apps (Facebook and YouTube and Chrome and AOD)
2. Reduce or remove animations and use a dark theme.
3. Choose a kernel with lower CPU minimums
4. Use battery saver setting on spectrum
5. Reduce screen resolution if your phone allows(a30)
