The Peace Palace building is the seat of the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the Hague Academy of International Law. The visitor center has a permanent exhibition about the history of the peace movement. In front of the building there is a monument with the eternal flame of peace and the inscription: "May all beings find peace".

August 29, 2020 the first Performance for Peace took place with „Imagine“ on the second million-people demonstration in August 2020 in Berlin “Berlin invites Europe for Freedom and Peace” at the Soviet Memorial, Straße des 17. Juni. In the background you can hear the manifesto of the lateral thinking movement from the stage at the Victory Column, presented by the organizer Michael Ballweg: "Today I would like to read our manifesto of the lateral thinking movement again: We insist on the first 20 articles of our Basic Law. In particular Article 1: human dignity, human rights, legally binding fundamental rights. Article 2: Personal liberties. Article 4: Freedom of belief and conscience. Article 5: Freedom of opinion. Article 8: Freedom of assembly. Article 11: Freedom of movement. Article 12: Freedom of occupation. And Article 13: Inviolability of the home. We demand the immediate lifting of the restrictions on fundamental rights imposed by the Corona Ordinance and the resignation of the federal government.“

Bochum September 4, 2023: In the tradition of the Monday walks, which contributed to the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, citizens in many German cities protest since 2021 for the processing of the Corona politics, for peace, freedom and self-determination. Digital discrimination through the progressive abolition of cash, the planned introduction of a digital ID and the WHO Pandemic Treaty are part of a political agenda that aims for total control of citizens and is incompatible with humanistic values and the sovereignty of the people. We went to Bochum to get in touch with the doctor Heinrich Habig and his wife, who chose the Hippocratic Oath during the Covid period instead of following the government in blind obedience. The doctor has been in custody for 16 months now and his wife is also being charged. The people of Bochum gave me a warm welcome and after I told about our art project I was given donations for our fuel costs! A thousand thanks to these incredibly warm Bochumers! ☀️

Bochum, 4.9.2023: In der Tradition der Montagsspaziergänge, die 1989 zum Fall der Berliner Mauer betrugen, protestieren die Menschen in vielen deutschen Städten ab 2021 für die Aufarbeitung der Corona-Politik, für Frieden, Freiheit & Selbstbestimmung. Die digitale Diskriminierung durch die Abschaffung des Bargeldes, Einführung einer digitalen ID und der Pandemievertrag der WHO sind Teil einer Agenda, die auf totale Kontrolle abzielt & mit humanistischen Werten & der Souveränität des Volkes unvereinbar ist. Wir sind nach Bochum gefahren, um mit dem Arzt Heinrich Habig & seiner Frau in Kontakt zu treten, die sich während der Covid-Zeit für den Hippokratischen Eid entschieden haben, anstatt der Regierung in blindem Gehorsam zu folgen. Er sitzt seit 16 Monaten in Untersuchungshaft und auch seine Frau ist angeklagt. Die Bochumer haben mich herzlich empfangen & nachdem ich von unserem Kunstprojekt erzählt hatte, bekam ich Spenden für unsere Benzinkosten! Tausend Dank an diese unglaublich herzlichen Bochumer! ☀️

Wir haben die Revolution nicht mit Wäsche waschen erreicht, aber viele tolle Freiheitskämpfer in Bochum und Recklinghausen kennengelernt. Am 9.9.2023 habe ich auf dem Marktplatz im Zentrum von Recklinghausen den Arzt Heinrich Habig und seine Frau Fatima Jeanne gemalt. Über diese Performance werde ich bald noch einen ausführlichen Post machen, wenn das Doppelportrait fertig ist. Zuerst müssen wir uns (mal wieder) um die Reperatur unseres Vans kümmern!
Pedros Entlassung aus dem Krankenhaus ist heute 6 Wochen her. Er hat täglich seine Reha-übungen gemacht, keine einzige Schmerztablette genommen ("Schmerzen sind die Transformation zur Heilung") und heute die Krücke gegen einen Wanderstock ausgetauscht. Er steht schon wieder auf der Leiter! ☀️☀️☀️

We didn't achieve the revolution by doing laundry, but we got to know a lot of great freedom fighters in Bochum. On September 9th, 2023 I painted the doctor Heinrich Habig and his wife Fatima Jeanne on the market square in the center of Recklinghausen. I will soon make a detailed post about this performance once the double portrait is finished. First we have to take care of the repair of our van (again)! It's been 6 weeks since Pedro was discharged from the hospital today. He did his rehab exercises every day, didn't take a single painkiller, saying "pain is the transformation to healing" and today swapped his crutch for a walking stick. He's up the ladder again! ☀️☀️☀️
