Remembering great heads of our history who have shown courage to think critical and swim against the mainstream and contemporary heros for humanity, peace and freedom. More info on my website https://monicafelgendreher.info/

London, July 29, 2023: Every Saturday, freedom fighters protest for the immediate release of Julian Assange on London's Piccadilly Circus. While Pedro was being operated, I was lucky enough to meet them there and was even invited to a picnic afterwards. Thank you wonderful people working tirelessly for truth and freedom!🔥 #FREEASSANGE #PRISONERA9379AY

Anita McKone & Robert Burrowes live in Australia and are the founders of the worldwide nonviolent resistance movement „We Are Human, We Are Free“ which aims to free humans from elite control, to resist forces of fear and dehumanisation and to unite people who want to build a better world in love, freedom and self-determination. Anita has been a nonviolent activist, educator and researcher since 1993. She has written many articles on different aspects of nonviolent activism, psychology and philosophy and has been imprisoned on a number of occasions for her activism. Robert has done extensive research on human violence, the strategy of nonviolent campaigns and liberation struggles since 1966. He has been a geopolitical analyst since 1971 and since 1981 a nonviolent activist and educator. For his nonviolent acts of conscience he has been arrested for about 30 times. Making of Robert & Anita from the peaceful resistance movement wearehumanwearefree.org.
I started painting them at the boardwalk of the beach in Dieppe, France, and finished in London at River Thames, U.K.

Yesterday, on August 5, 2023, a big demonstration took place in Berlin for world peace and investigation of all crimes due to Corona measures. Speeches were held at the Brandenburg Gate and afterwards about 4.700 people marched peacefully through the city.
Although the organizers emphasized loud and clear that extremism and inhuman ideas (anti-Semitism, racism, discrimination) will not be tolerated at the demonstration, the mainstream media continues to ignore this in their reporting.
Here are a few impressions, at the end the whole peace parade in fast motion.

Hello lovely people. It might look like holidays what we are doing, but believe us, it is a lot of work! We never allow ourselves the luxury of campsites or restaurants. The material for the pictures, fuel costs and repairs to the car have so far been privately financed. We have already received a few donations (from my mother, 2 friends and a dear stranger) and we thank you very much for that. As we think it's time for a shower and our dog deserves a few chicken thighs for his patience (he is not vegan yet) and we hope you all agree that this is a project that can sow seeds of change to make tomorrow's world better for all of us, we would be happy if you help spread our work by sharing the link to the channel and - if you are able, please support us with a donation. Any small amount is welcome! Thank you very much! Here are a few channels where you can donate:

Wer glaubt, jene, die das Regierungshandeln in D, A, CH und andernorts kritisieren, seien mit den #Nazis im Bunde, möge diesen Beitrag von #DavidAHughes aus #PropagandaInFocus lesen. Wer das nicht glaubt, besser auch. Denn es gibt Kontinuität. Aber anders

After our performance in London, Pedro fell off the roof of the camper van while loading the pictures and broke his hip and wrist. He left the hospital just two days after the operation and after a few days he is already walking carefully on crutches. I asked him why he doesn't want to give up the project and if he thinks it makes any sense. Thank you Pedro for your positive power, your calmness, will and confidence to make the world of tomorrow more beautiful.☀️

Brussels was a big challenge for us managing the Performance for Peace. But we succeeded, pics coming soon! ☀️

We left Brussels and went to Den Haag to rest and edit the material, but then discovered, we are in a town with a peace palace! We cannot leave that uncommented. So for now - a little postcard from Brussels from us with love 💓

Performance for Peace, Brussels, August 2023, 1st attempt:

We tried to get in touch with Peace & Freedom "fighters" in Brussels but the only contact we had was not too enthusiastic to promote our project. Pedro's health was still bad and I was scared to do it all by myself, it seemed unimaginable to me. I was frustrated and disappointed. Brussels, the snake's head was at my feet and I couldn't make a statement. Then I decided to conquer fear, took the paintings off the roof, repaired them, took pics and called a taxi for the next day. When the driver demanded double the price negotiated by email, I asked him to unload everything again. We left the city and drove into the countryside. Our dog drank water from the river and got sick, I had to call a vet. Locals then explained to me that the nearby pharma company GlaxoSmithKline was polluting the water. I realized that I had to lower my expectations and adapt to the circumstances. So I decided to find a creative way and we drove back to Brussels.

Performance for Peace, Brussels, August 2023, 2nd attempt:

After I lost courage, but Pedro decided to continue, I went through a difficult, inner test for a few days (who am I, what do I want, what is important to me, does it make sense what we do). Then we drove back to Brussels. Because we don't want to live in a completely digitized world, we committed civil disobedience. We didn't register the car online to drive into town, we ignored the invention of a "low emission zone" for the city center and we didn't download an app on our cell phones to be able to pay for a parking ticket. After our arrival, when a gentleman with an old lady in a wheelchair stopped next to our coffee table, I asked him if one could borrow a wheelchair in Brussels. He said no, but said he could lend us one, he has two. We were able to visit the city together and get some inspirations for the performance. In fact, I managed 3 performances in the end! Never let fear rule your life. ☀️

Performance for Peace Brussels, Manneken Pis, August 16, 2023:
One of the landmarks of the Belgian capital and the "political capital" of the European Union is a naked boy who pisses at the viewer in a crude, funny way and is thus intended to symbolize freedom of expression, a spirit of resistance and democratic values. There are over 950 costumes for the Manneken, which are used to dress up for birthdays of idols like Elvis and Mozart, when matches of the Belgian national team take place and special occasions like World AIDS Day. The tailor has probably not yet been commissioned with an orange jumpsuit to alert people of indifferent, corrupt politicians and cowardly journalists of the mainstream media to Assange's slow-motion killing.
