Heavy rain and strong wind have softened and broken the wooden frames of more than half of all paintings. Luckily we were able to use the community classroom for two days as a workshop to repair. One of the most famous bridges in the world serves our Performance for Peace as a symbol for the peaceful and useful connection of different "shores". Even if we have different opinions, a healthy society finds humane solutions only through debate and diplomacy instead of oppressing minorities with coercion, discrimination, persecution and punishment. With the heads of critical thinkers we want to remind people that we can only live together in peace with respect and tolerance for those who think differently. This applies to a small radius in everyday life as well as on the big, political world stage.

After our successful Performance for Peace at Tower Bridge in London, Pedro fell off the roof of the camper van while loading the paintings and broke his hip and wrist. The surgery went well and Pedro can already walk with crutches and is out of the hospital today! ☀️💓 (It was not the shower or the great view he wanted to see St. Thomas from the inside). We are over the moon that it hasn't gotten any worse and hope that the pain on the way to healing won't be too bad. It's difficult to take such hard setbacks, but "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger", as the saying goes... My little challenge now is to drive back to the coast on the left side of the road so that we can catch the ferry to France. We will take a break there first and keep you up to date on how and when it goes on. Makes us happy - share our work and send us some "thumbs up"!

Anita McKone & Robert Burrowes live in Australia and are the founders of the worldwide nonviolent resistance movement „We Are Human, We Are Free“ which aims to free humans from elite control, to resist forces of fear and dehumanisation and to unite people who want to build a better world in love, freedom and self-determination. Anita has been a nonviolent activist, educator and researcher since 1993. She has written many articles on different aspects of nonviolent activism, psychology and philosophy and has been imprisoned on a number of occasions for her activism. Robert has done extensive research on human violence, the strategy of nonviolent campaigns and liberation struggles since 1966. He has been a geopolitical analyst since 1971 and since 1981 a nonviolent activist and educator. For his nonviolent acts of conscience he has been arrested for about 30 times.
