You can use anything from a cheap $35 Raspberry Pi (use an SSD if you go this route) or VPS, all the way to a full-on dedicated server. It's up to you. Running a full node helps to further decentralize the Monero network and make the job of blockchain analysis firms and government spooks much harder.
