I receive the gentle rain of God’s Spirit in my life. I declare refreshing, renewal, and quiet growth. My dry places are being watered, and new life is springing forth.
Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,
for I am trusting you.
Show me where to walk,
for I give myself to you.
Psalm 143:8

β€œBut ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you… In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:7–10

These that are going through suffering and tribulation...these are going to be the preachers to this time of gross darkness. That's the only thing that's going to penetrate.

Psalm 37:3-4 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

Proverbs 16:9
Ezra 9–10: Unequally Yoked in the Home

When Ezra returned from exile, he found God’s people entangled in marriages with those who did not worship the true God. It was not about ethnicity but about faith. These alliances pulled hearts toward idolatry and compromise.

Ezra led the people in repentance, and a hard but necessary step followed. They separated from relationships that were pulling them away from covenant faithfulness.

The lesson still speaks today. God calls His people to be set apart. Unequal yokes in marriage, partnerships, or close bonds weaken devotion. Obedience sometimes requires costly separation, but it always preserves life and blessing in the long run.

Jesus said He came not to bring peace but a sword (Matthew 10:34). That sword is often felt most sharply in the home. Choosing Him first ensures that everything else in life finds its right place.

Reflection: Where might God be asking you to draw a line, even if it hurts, so your devotion to Him remains pure?

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
