Lasting Happiness
The real reason why we sometimes experience a lack of real, deep lasting happiness in our lives is dependency. We are taught to make our happiness dependent on some event, condition, person, object etc. This is why we keep delaying our happiness until things are just right in our life. We think we will be happy in the future and then wonder why we are not happy now. But life is never just right, and the future never comes – there is only now!
And that’s why, in order to be happy we must make our happiness a decision and not a dependency. This may seem slightly difficult in the beginning, because we have just spent our life being dependent on acquiring something or someone, or seeing the result we desired, or wanting some pain to go away, before we allow ourselves to be happy

We all know deep down that a person’s inner beauty is more valuable than their physical appearance. Yet today the society is using cosmetics, makeup and even surgeries to look beautiful.
1. Do take care of your body to appear presentable. But focus more on inner beauty, which is the collective vibrations of your thoughts, feelings, attitude, behaviours, habits, values and personality traits.
2. Meditate every morning and study spiritual knowledge for at least 20 minutes to consciously create powerful, pure and positive thoughts. It's your quality of thinking which creates your feelings, and that will automatically reflect in your appearance.
3. If your physical weight increases, the first result is that your physical appearance is affected. In the same way, if your thoughts are heavy and pile up, then your inner beauty is affected. After every hour, pause to check for any thoughts of stress, anger, fear, worry or pain. Change them immediately.

We all want to consistently deliver on our commitments and meet our deadlines. When we make a commitment, we are giving a word. It means we send a message to our body and mind, and also a message to the world around us about our intentions. And by doing what we said we will do, we not only win the trust of other people, but we also become respectable in our own eyes. Honoring our commitments positively influences our character, confidence, integrity and self-image. Most times we find a way to fulfil our commitments. But sometimes we just don’t do what we promised to do. We either under-perform or over-commit. Except the obviously unavoidable scenarios, we need to practice honoring every commitment.

Communication (Part 1)
A great deal of our communication is non-verbal and we rarely realize the effect that it has on others. Our tone of voice, our body language (particularly our eyes and face), our attitudes and our feelings, are constantly in communication with others, expressing anger, fear, love, trust, rejection - in fact, all our feelings and emotions. We cannot hide what we mean; we may do so for a while, but finally the truth emerges.
Communication is not just with others, but also with the self, with the Supreme Being and even nature. Being still, focused and open enables us to tune in to others so that we can respond in an appropriate and meaningful way, not simply in a mechanical way.
Here are some common reasons for blocks to communication:
Too many thoughts, and an overload of words and actions, results in us being unable to think clearly. We lose the essence of what is trying to be conveyed (transmitted) by the other.
Being lost in our own feelings or ideas. In such a state we do not listen attentively to others.
Remembering the past in a negative way. This does not allow us to tune in properly to our present and future. When we do not communicate properly with the needs of the present time, we loose opportunities.

Lack of sincerity. When our thoughts and feelings are honest and respectful, then the hearts of others will open to us. A positive highway of trust is built and communication flows positively.
Creating negative perceptions (understandings) and emotions about others i.e. how we visualize or label them. Such emotions, no matter how well hidden, are finally always communicated to others on a subtle (non-physical), non-verbal level, and create an atmosphere of tension and unease.
Not letting go of negative perceptions (understandings) and emotions. The only method to revive our relationship with others is to let go of negativity on a daily basis, to prevent it from building up. Far too often, the build-up happens without us even noticing it and, we wonder why positive feedback is not coming from the other side.
Lack of silence. To go deep into the self and put our thoughts and feelings into silence enables them to become positive. The silent relaxation defuses (reduces) anger and the blame and complaints that often go with it.

When you extend pure love to everyone with selfless motivation that is an attitude of kindness. When you send good wishes and pure feelings to those who are in deep sorrow, that is an attitude of mercy. When you see the virtues rather than the weaknesses in people that is an attitude of compassion. When you bless and uplift someone even as they defame you, that is an attitude of forgiveness. When you tolerate a situation and take responsibility as well as give cooperation even when not appreciated, that is an attitude of humility and self-respect.
Every second, every moment and every breath of your life is nurtured by attitude.

The environment needs to vibrate with confidence and determination. When we rely on each other, trust must be at the core of our belief and behavior. We have all experienced that people are most productive when they have a person trusting their abilities. Let's ensure no-one creates thoughts of doubt, insecurity, incompetence or anxiety – either about themselves or others. Negative thoughts become obstacles to success. If it is our goal we have a responsibility to be solution-oriented. Let’s focus only on how to help and motivate people. And let’s remind ourselves daily 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘧𝘶𝘭.

Whether there are 10 things on our to-do list today or 20, if we begin them with self-belief, discipline and enthusiasm, our speed and efficiency increase magically. People working with us absorb our energy and feel motivated. An overall sense of belonging for the place, people and task develops. Time doesn’t seem a barrier. Sit back and make your work day unfold perfectly today. Your inner success factors of stability, comfort and happiness will have an influence on getting you success outside. You will save time and energy because there were no emotional leakages of anxiety, aggression or stress. You will go back home from your workplace pleased and happy.

𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 - When we see change of any type in our life, instead of getting influenced by the different scenes of change, we need to look inwards and access our reservoir of positivity and start creating thoughts of stability, peace and strength inside and then come back in action with a purpose to adjust with the situation.

𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - Often when we experience sudden changes in our life, in our health, wealth, family or work, we start worrying about what has happened, why it has happened and how will we cope with the change. Instead we need to look differently at the change with the eyes of wisdom and find benefit in the change.

The deeper the connection the more sooner God gives us directions and protects us in the wave of change and also guides us through it.

𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 - When we see change of any type in our life, instead of getting influenced by the different scenes of change, we need to look inwards and access our reservoir of positivity and start creating thoughts of stability, peace and strength inside and then come back in action with a purpose to adjust with the situation.

𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - Often when we experience sudden changes in our life, in our health, wealth, family or work, we start worrying about what has happened, why it has happened and how will we cope with the change. Instead we need to look differently at the change with the eyes of wisdom and find benefit in the change.

Very often we see a difficult situation effect people so much that after that they no longer believe they can succeed. E.g. a very successful person suddenly falls ill or loses an important relative or experiences sudden financial losses at work. Such type of events or similar to these ones can weaken the enthusiasm of many people and affect their confidence for future actions. Also, there are many different cases in the world when lives of many people have changed after a particular negative event in their life, which they found difficult to face. It is very true that most people in the world are today facing some negative situation or the other. These negative situations are either with the mind or with their physical body or in their role or very importantly in their different personal and professional relationships.
Hope and determination are two powers which we all require to face these different situations and presently the world has seen a decrease in these two powers in many people. Although the world is advancing in many different ways, at the same time people are no longer as internally powerful to face life’s different negative events, which are on the rise. Also, the power to control your thoughts, feelings and emotions is reducing and keeping them positive is becoming difficult for many. Of course, there are some who believe that life is all about ups and downs and also happiness and sorrow both are part of life. Transform Negativity
The energies of life come to meet us at every moment. Most come from other people who either in the same room or on the flickering, technicolor screens with which we now share most of our homes. The vast majority of these energies are not positive. So how do we handle the ‘the negatives’, whether it’s someone’s attitude, their hurtful gestures or our daily dose of world violence and mayhem.
There are three cardinal rules. First, do not absorb it – don’t be an emotional sponge. Second do not reflect it back. Otherwise you begin a cycle of emotional exchanges which may last a long time. And third, do the one thing which marks us as intelligent human beings – transform it.
Even if the scene is a disaster there is some benefit somewhere in it. Even if you are watching two peoples beliefs or opinions slug it out to the edge of violence don’t take sides. Instead offer a solution then stand well back. Even if the person hates you, accept their state of being and return the light of love. In time, with patience, it will illuminate their darkness, and return to you by the bucketful! Just wait.

Do you know that there are two sides to this type of happiness. When the going is good in life i.e. when there are no negative situations in your life, you feel you are on top of the world. Also, when there is even a little negative event like a disturbance at home or a little change in your health or if a friend no longer co-operates and talks well with you, then the same material mediums of science and technology can no longer support you. You feel empty inside. This is a wrong foundation of happiness. Also, the world is in a way living on a false belief that happiness is increasing because of scientific advancement or because of better medical facilities or because of more wealth. It seems it is but it is temporary. Aren’t there so many people in the world, in fact a large number of people, who are in pain and unhappy? The richest of people, the most famous of people, the most educated people and the most advanced people are today looking to spiritual wisdom and meditation to get relief from life’s problems. They also want to be free from the pressures that come in many cases, with being rich and famous and also successful in a materialistic way.

On the other hand, 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞, 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬.Try finding one person who has only positive events in their life and you will not find a single person without some problem or the other.
Also, the world is in a way living on a false belief that happiness is increasing because of scientific advancement or because of better medical facilities or because of more wealth. It seems it is but it is temporary. Aren’t there so many people in the world, in fact a large number of people, who are in pain and unhappy? The richest of people, the most famous of people, the most educated people and the most advanced people are today looking to spiritual wisdom and meditation to get relief from life’s problems. They also want to be free from the pressures that come in many cases, with being rich and famous and also successful in a materialistic way.

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬. E.g. you hear a great piece of news – you have got a promotion in your office. That feels very nice to hear and it gives you happiness. There is nothing wrong with that, but when our happiness starts becoming dependent on such events, that’s when the foundation of our happiness is a wrong one. After hearing a positive piece of news, after one day you are told that your favorite sports team has lost the final of a very famous tournament. You see your team losing and suddenly your happiness is lost. So, enjoy the positive events but don’t think that life will not have its negative events ready to reduce your happiness, if your happiness stands on the wrong foundation.
𝐒𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲? 𝐄𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 – 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. Also, if you are truly and internally happy in this way, as per spiritual principles, then that once in a while negative event or that shocking accident on the road or a sudden loss of wealth will not disturb you either. Constant happiness comes by increasing one’s inner spiritual treasures like peace, love, wisdom and power and not from outside events. That does not mean outside events will not make you happy. They will, but you do not get controlled by their ups and downs, when they happen. Also, by increasing your treasures, you remain happy even when there is a negative situation in your life. That is living happiness the right way!
