Praising the “efficiency and functionality” of the Bank of Russia’s CBDC, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed his government on Wednesday to prepare for the widespread introduction of the digital ruble.

Hanging by a Thread
It is quite amazing how close people are to serious mental illness. What is serious mental illness? Suicidal depression, psychosis, anxiety that requires hospitalization, and frankly anything that keeps a person from living a functional life, a life with its share of sadness, trauma and suffering, but also with moments of happiness, fulfillment, love and laughter.
That’s serious mental illness. What about “not so serious” mental illness? Well, we’ve got a lot more of that than one could even imagine. And then twice that many hanging by the thread, just about ready to drop into depression, anxiety, personality…...

So, my second trial for alleged thoughtcrime-tweeting is going ahead as planned on August 15 in Berlin Superior Court (Das Kammergericht). Full-blown anti-terrorism security protocols will be in effect in the courtroom.
Yes, that’s right, the Berlin Superior Court denied my attorney’s motion to rescind their special Security Order, so the German authorities will be putting on an elaborate official show of force, which everyone is welcome to attend!

So I was watching the UN Security Council Emergency Meeting on the situation in the Middle East and I thought, “what is this?” Maybe the question “why” would have been more apt.
We see it time and time again, important well-paid people sitting in chairs making long-winded statements about peace and justice and more peace and eventually it all just turns into a jumbled jambalaya’d stew of predictable and usual opinions.
Some of these people are heart-felt in their pleas. Most are carefully diplomatic. Some seem reluctant.
And nothing ever seems to ever be achieved: Just words hollow in…...

It’s pushing the idea of “ento-veganism”, that is to say “vegans” who won’t eat animals…except insects.
Or, what we used to call non-vegans.
It’s just another step in the redefining of language as needs must, yet another front in the war on words.

How unnatural does it need to be before we humans realize this environment is not one in which a human animal will do well in, yet alone even survive? It seems that we should, by now, be very aware of this, but few people seem to be.
And even if we are aware that our environment is slowly killing us, what can we do about it? We can’t very well up and move to Mars (no matter what Elon Musk might say), nor would that solve it.
