Just an hour ago, NYU students set up the Gaza Solidarity Encampment after being violently raided. NYPD RIOT COPS ARE ALREADY ON THE SCENE. ALL OUT TO NYU. ALL OUT TO CCNY. THE STUDENTS ARE CALLING ON THEIR COMMUNITY TO COME THROUGH.

Students have been successfully holding down the encampment! NYPD left the scene earlier tonight after negotiations. Students are settling in for a screening of “Gaza Fights for Freedom.”
We’ll be here till our demands are met. Till victory ✌️

5. Call and email Martin Dorph, NYU’s Executice Vice President at [email protected] and 212 992 8282 and demand immediate full disclosure of the university’s finances.

Just a week after students were brutally arrested on Gould Plaza for protesting NYU's complicity in the genocide in Gaza, NYU has threatened all students at the second Gaza Solidarity Encampment with suspension if they do not leave the encampment by noon today.
We are here for Palestine. We are here to have this university divest from genocide and settler-colonial occupation. NYU has only negotiated with us in bad faith to this point. They have tried time and time again to clear us from this space. But we will not leave until this university divests from the genocidal Zionist project. We will stay and build our movement here and push this university until it listens to its students.

On Friday, we conceded to the University by taking down our tents. But 4 nights on the ground later, the University has has elected to threaten students with suspensions and publish bold faced lies about it's own community members rather than make steps towards addressing our demands. NYU Administration has refused to negotiate in good faith and so far proven they are only capable of empty threats. We are not concerned by threats of suspensions when our tuition money is funding a genocide and occupation in Gaza. We are not scared of any cop mayor or cop administrator.
