New Governance Proposal: NIP-6 – The Last NIP of 2025

Hey Nym operator community,

We have a key governance proposal live now, and your participation matters!

NIP-6 proposes opening new ports so that Session messaging, WhatsApp voice/video calls, and email clients (adding TCP 465 from NIP-4) can run smoothly and securely through NymVPN.

Ports proposed:

- Session: TCP 22021
- WhatsApp: UDP 3478, 3480, 3484
- Email clients: TCP 465

Voting is now OPEN on Nym Governator and will last for 5 days.

If approved, these changes will make NymVPN more user-friendly while keeping privacy and security at the core of the network.

Hot fixes for Android & Linux
Following last week's release of NymVPN v2025.19, the team released new Android apps with fixes to address connection issues on Android and improve DNS on Linux. Make sure you're updated to Android v.2.5.3 and Linux v1.20.0

macOS users: The app is updated to fix an issue with auto-updater. Your app will be able to update to the new v2.15.0.

DNS customization is also coming for macOS very soon!
