Karl Richter asserts that Ukraine is facing an imminent end due to Russia’s dominance in the ongoing conflict, weak Western military and economic support, and Ukraine’s own nationalism, citing predictions by several Western military experts and predicting Western governments will soon have to justify the utter failure of their Ukraine policy.

The Economist, citing Ukrainian sources, notes Russia's success in the fight against drones.
“The Russians are doing black magic in electromagnetic defense. They can jam signals, affect GPS, send drones to the wrong height, just to make them fall from the sky,” the source told the publication.
According to the Economist's interlocutor, Ukrainian troops will receive high-tech capabilities in the coming months, but it will still not be easy for them to fight Russia.

"Essentially, America's dominance comes from hard power and military self-assertion.
It's going to be a challenge for China to overcome this exclusively through diplomacy and economics. Not impossible, but a challenge."
American dominance comes from being the successor to European public law, being strengthened by the World Wars amidst total destruction, fortunate geography, and becoming main force of neutralisation.
America wasted its gifts, and fears a defeat manifest in its own image – China.
If we follow economic and revolutionary thinking it would make sense that China would take its place as world power. That is how the game has been played so far. But this ignores that economic thinking is only a surface, that there are deep strategic purposes behind economic war.
Russia successfully challenged America because it fought on the post-legal ground, in the gray area that was forming outside of International Law – a technique that America itself mastered.
The significance of Russia is its creating a new chessboard, or the Eastern half.
Even if China finds itself in a dominant position in the future it will be in large part due to this shift in world order, and its playing the lesser-partner in the Asian Grossraum.
Perhaps that is its long-term strategy, but that comes with the danger of all passive strategies.
