🇺🇸 On this date 30 years ago, the U.S. Federal Government began the Waco Siege in Texas.
After almost two months, Federal forces from the ATF, FBI and other agencies would end the siege by burning down the compound. Dozens of people, including large numbers of women and children, would die in the resulting blaze.

🚨🇺🇦🇷🇺 “Ukrainian volunteers running civilian evacuations in Donbas say they've stopped going to Bakhmut as there's now a direct threat of Russian ATGMs along the remaining roads into the city. Hard to see how it can hold out much longer.”

"This is not about Ukraine at all, but the world order,’ said Sergei Lavrov, Russia’s foreign minister, a month after the invasion. ‘The unipolar world is irretrievably receding into the past … A multi-polar world is being born.’ The US is no longer the world’s policeman, in other words – a message that resonates in countries that have long been suspicious of American power. The West’s core coalition may remain solid, but it has failed to win over many of the countries that refused to pick sides. Moscow’s diplomatic mission to build ties and hone a narrative over the past decade has paid dividends.
Look at Africa. In March last year, 25 African states out of 54 abstained or didn’t vote in a UN motion condemning the invasion, despite huge pressure from western powers. Their refusal to side clearly with Ukraine was testament to Russia’s ongoing diplomatic efforts in the developing world."

"The US/NATO alliance was already defeated in reality, what we are dealing with are mere formalities. It is like the end of a chess game, but after a resignation, and played out as a game of chance to receive new pieces and starting positions."
I have to say my metaphor was pretty good in light of what Jünger says on the turn away from Clausewitz.
"If we want to compare our situation to that of a game of chess, it is pointless to study what moves to change, how to move bishop or knight, rook or king differently. The fact is that the table on which the chessboard stands has been turned upside down: warriors and fighters no longer exist as a class or caste, and fire no longer comes from cannons, but has become absolute. We are approaching chaos and with it cosmic dimensions that no Clausewitz has thought of."

The End of History was the end of the West's ability to even see the enemy, let alone make a declaration. It was total hubris, and an incapacity to see the new order.
Dugin and Russia seem to truly understand the enemy in Schmitt's terms, every move made since 2001 confirms this.
(He does say that America always has to have an enemy, but I'm not sure if this is a misreading at the philosophical level or simply a misuse of the word.)

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russian Wagner Group Depletes Ukrainian Forces in Bakhmut - Wall Street Journal.
A deadly fight with penal battalions threatens Kyiv's ability to launch a spring offensive.
“The Wagner fighter has no way to retreat. Their only chance to survive is to keep moving forward. And this tactic works, ” says the battalion commander of the 3rd assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukraine is taking heavy casualties at Bakhmut, which could undermine its ability to launch a spring offensive using new weapons supplied by the US and its allies.
Ukrainian combat losses are classified. Officers from some other brigades say several units, including some of the best trained, have been destroyed by fighting in the Bakhmut area in recent months.

"It was 9:00 am in the city of Slavyansk in eastern Ukraine, on 12 April 2014. A group of 52 armed men, about 80% of them Ukrainian citizens, stormed the city’s Interior Ministry building. The government policemen in the building opened fire on the armed men, but quickly surrendered to the larger force after they fired automatic weapons into the building. The armed men, led by the shadowy Russian Colonel Igor Strelkov, tore down the building’s Ukrainian blue and yellow flag. They raised the Russian white, blue, and red tricolor.
Strelkov and his men formed the nucleus of a rebellion in Ukraine’s east. Bolstered by locals unhappy with the overthrow the Ukrainian government in February 2014 as well as by foreign volunteers, they fought a series of battles in the predominately Russian-speaking Donbass region that lasted into August before a Russian intervention saved the rebellion."

So there is political turmoil in Georgia right now as the Georgian government attempts to pass laws requiring any organization that receives more than 20 percent of its funding from abroad to register as “foreign agents.” Somehow media organisations being forced to disclose their foreign funding would restrict “free speech” and is “anti-democratic.” Truly laughable.
This has angered the Americans and the EU who are going total mask off with their clear intention to control the Georgian political process rather than allowing an organic national conversation to guide its politics.
The “transparency of foreign influence” law passed by Georgia’s parliament on March 7 is “incompatible with EU standards and values,” says EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borell
Borrell also called on Georgia to uphold its commitment to the promotion of democracy, the rule of law and human rights, and the right for people to peacefully protest.
So now an attempt at a Euromaiden style coup is occuring in Georgia to prevent this bill from simply creating transparency about foreign influence over their media, whilst their pro-Western President Salome Zurabishvili just so happens to be visiting the US. Incredible stuff. "Democracy, the rule of law and human rights" appear to basically mean allowing your country to be subverted by foreigners who want to turn it into a Ukraine-style warzone for the sake of their geopolitical chessmatch with Moscow.
