🇮🇱🇵🇸 BREAKING: Groups of Israeli reservists have refused orders to head to the border with Gaza.

An Israeli soldier stated, "We will not go to our deaths, this is suicide."
"Understanding the Hamas attack on Israel:

Iran is aiming for a confrontation with Israel and the US. The success of Russia in Ukraine is encouraging Iran to undo decades of hostile US foreign policy in the Middle East. A bankrupt US Govt has just been invited to another war.

The timing is opportunistic. The US Govt is forced to print trillions of USD as it struggles to raise new debt. Another war would lead to a significant increase in inflation and an accelerated economic decline of the US.

If Iran mines the Strait of Hormuz the global energy crisis would become critical. The Biden administration has used the majority of US oil reserves to stabilize domestic oil prices. Iran can increase the pain for the US Govt significantly.

Ukraine is turning into a major defeat for the US and NATO. A new front in the Middle East would accelerate the US decline. The US Govt and its western partners simply cannot afford it. Russia and China would benefit most. Iran understands this and is playing into the hands of its partners."

The US lost the conflicts in Ukraine, Syria, and Iran, which ultimately led to retreat from Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a historic defeat of an empire, and what we are seeing is a shift in the spatial order. The escalation in Ukraine is an attempt to stall the loss of US influence. And Israel is an inevitable result, if not directly connected to the greater loss of radiating power.

It may even be coordinated with Russian and China due to the US repeatedly escalating the conflict.

Correction: Perhaps best to say "conflicts" regarding Ukraine and Iran (I had written "wars"), given that they were not classical wars. They were however essential points of tension in the world civil war.

To sum up my take on the Israel Gaza war its either -

A. the beginning of the end of Israel and futher decline in US hegemony in the region. Due Israel not seeing this attack coming and attack completely setting back Saudi Israel normalization. Not to mention more independent foriegn policies of Gulf nations from the US.

Or

B. the beginning of the end of Hamas and the larger Gaza resistance. Due to now Israel government being completely united on destroying Hamas and likely invade Gaza. And sending of additional military aid from the United States.
Russian intervention is necessary, and one would expect it to happen precisely in this way, underground and only hinted at on the world stage. It is much like the Iran-Contra link in the 1980s.

🇮🇱🇵🇸🇱🇧 "If Israel does enter Gaza and hunts down the Hamas leadership, Hezbollah’s priority would be to open a second (and maybe a third and fourth) front against Israel to halt the Israelis’ momentum. In doing so, it would bring in armed militias from Iraq and perhaps Yemen to bolster its forces, which could widen the scope of operations."

A Dream

I had a dream the other night that I was checking on my men at the siege line of a burning city. It was nighttime but the sky was illumined by White Phosphorous rounds going off all over the besieged area. Snow fell down, and the night that would otherwise have been cold, was warmed by the fires from across the Potomac. I dreamed of airstrikes and artillery landing in the ruins of that masonic town, pulverizing and melting flesh and stone like they were made of the same facile material. Men were fixing bayonets and arms were being checked and cleaned. I saw resilience and determination in their eyes. I dreamed a great dream that the final assault was coming and we would be victorious. I dreamed the future.
SOMEWHERE IN THE U.S. SOUTH — It was a choice to melt down Robert E. Lee. But it would have been a choice to keep him intact, too.

So the statue of the Confederate general that once stood in Charlottesville — the one that prompted the deadly “Unite the Right” rally in 2017 — was now being cut into fragments and dropped into a furnace, dissolving into a sludge of glowing bronze.

In Regards to an Invasion of Iran

Iran is not the same adversary of the 1980s which was fundamentally an unindustrialized, unstable, and basically organized state/military. It has since industrialized, consolidated, and advanced its technical capabilities to be a powerful adversary. An invasion in that terrain and among those capable people would be a nightmare which would inevitably be backed up by Russian, PRC, and DPRK forces (laugh all you want but they are no small matter). This is going to be a massive mistake and may undo America as a polity.

I strongly advise pushing back this war rhetoric on grounds of prudence alone.

This is such a ridiculous conflict.
