According to a new draft law, which is to be reviewed by Parliament in April, the country will end the temporary protection status for displaced persons from 14 regions deemed safe by Copenhagen.

The affected areas are: Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Kyiv (excluding the city of Kyiv), Lviv, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Transcarpathia, and Zhytomyr.

The new rules will particularly focus on age restrictions. Danish authorities intend to deny entry to men of conscription age – from 23 to 60 years. For younger Ukrainians (under 23 years), there is a temporary mechanism: they can obtain a permit for temporary residence, but it will be impossible to extend this after reaching the age of 23. This effectively means that Denmark is closing the option for long-term residence for this category of citizens.

The results of the attacks on Ukraine's energy supply have arrived.
