Può sembrare una cosa da poco: il consorzio dietro alla presa multimediale HDMI (quella dei televisori, per intendersi) ha rilasciato le specifiche per l'Alternate Mode compatibili con la USB Type-C, cioè quella ultra sottile e reversibile per adesso utilizzata da pochi computer e telefonini (vedi tra tutti il MacBook 12 che ce l'ha come unica presa per tutto, alimentazione inclusa).

Android ha due problemi. Il primo è la frammentazione del mercato che produce gli apparecchi, con esperienze d'uso inconsistenti (ci sono alcuni telefoni buni e poi tantissimi diciamo "meno buoni"). L'altro è che tutti usano Android. Il che vuol dire, come per i Pc, che alla fine a differenziare gli apparecchi è la forma della scocca e non la sostanza del software, mentre di integrazione Hw-Sw non se ne parla neanche. Le conseguenze in questo pezzo di The Verge, che ha fatto un giro all'IFA di Berlino.
