Era un mattino d'estate e io me ne stavo al mio scoglio assorbendo i raggi benefici del Pesce Palla Luminoso.
Sonnecchiavo dopo una notte passata a inseguire bellissime prede. Era la stagione degli amori e desideravo una compagna per fare dei figli. Tanti figli!
Prima che i miei fratelli lasciassero casa la mia era stata una famiglia numerosa. "Ora ognuno per se!" fece capire un giorno papà, dando l'esempio. Mamma non la ricordo ma provavo una dolce nostalgia per la sua protezione. Avevamo tascorso la nostra infanzia a nasconderci tra gli scogli dal colore cangiante.
Sognavo ad occhi aperti senza curarmi troppo dei pesci sentinella.
Un giovane pescatore si era avvicinato e si accorse di me. Con uno scatto fulmineo mi afferrò. La presa della sua mano era forte. Cercai di morderlo ma l'uomo con l'altra mano mi ribaltò i tentacoli.
Una veloce risalita e fui sbattuto con violenza sul fondo della sua barca. Il mio corpo rosso purpureo bruciava per il dolore. La luce era accecante. Non capivo cosa stava accadendo e avevo paura. Il pescatore mi prese di nuovo e mi sollevò. Nei suoi occhi vidi il Grande Blu per l'ultima volta. Mi diede un morso profondo alla testa. Un colpo e un'altro ancora, fortissimo. I miei tre cuori rallentarono e il colore della mia pelle divenne grigio.
L'inchiostro fluiiva tra i miei tentacoli senza più forza. Una profonda stanchezza si impossessò di me.
Il mio utlimo ricordo fu un senso di grande calma e di gratitudine verso il pescatore. Come molti miei fratelli prima di me, anch'io entravo nell'Oltremare.
Era giusto così.

Il suo genoma è più ampio di quello umano e il sistema nervoso è cosi esteso da permettere funzioni cognitive indipendenti.
Ad esempio i tentacoli riescono a distinguere come "se stesso" il resto del corpo anche una volta recisi.

Il genio è uscito dalla bottiglia. Per errore Microsoft ha rivelato le chiavi del Secure Boot, il meccanismo che impedisce di interrompere o intercettare la procedura di avvio di Windows 10. Apple, che invece ha scelto la strada opposta di non avere una backdoor sostenendo che mette a rischio la security e la privacy degli utenti, pochi mesi fa aveva avuto uno scontro con l'FBI sul fatto che non potesse né volesse sbloccare l'iPhone di uno degli autori di un attentato sul suolo americano.

La testata Spider-Man/Deapool è uno dei più fortunati crossover Marvel Comics degli ultimi anni. Lanciata come serie regolare lo scorso 6 gennaio, è scritta da Joe Kelly e disegnata da Ed McGuinness. Il primo numero ha venduto circa 130 mila copie, mentre i seguenti si sono assestati intorno alle 60/70 mila, esaurendo sempre la tiratura e diventando tra i titoli più venduti dell’editore nel 2016.

Spider-Man ha un nuovo costume [Spoiler]
Sull'ottavo numero di Spider-Man/Deadpool, pubblicato negli Stati Uniti il 10 agosto, Spider-Man indossa un nuovo costume.
C'è una app per Mac (prima o poi la fanno anche per iPhone e iPad) che permette di cancellare oggetto e persone non gradite dalle foto. Niente che non riesca a fare Photoshop, ma questa app è ottimizzata, lo fa (dicono) bene, è più facile da usare e costa sicuramente molto meno.
L'idea di manipolare le foto nel modo più antico e classico, cioè rimuovere le persone non gradite (vi ricordate i dirigenti sovietici che scomparivano dalla vita pubblica e dalle foto con Stalin?), è intrigante.
Una bella foto sulla spiaggia mediamente affollata che poi si può trasformare in un luogo solitario ed esclusivo come se fossimo su un atollo della Polinesia. Oppure, più banalmente, togliere gli oggetti che non possiamo evitare di fotografare (un lampione bel mezzo di un bel panorama).

La Cina probabilmente sta conquistando il mondo. Da un punto di vista commerciale, se non altro: la progressione è abbastanza inequivocabile e non mostra segni di deviazione. All'interno di questo fenomeno, ci sono parecchie cose da annotare. Una è la natura peculiare del capitalismo cinese.
