دوستانی که کتاب هستی-تیبشیرانی (استاد دانشگاه استنفورد) از انتشارات اشپرینگر رو طبق علاقه‌ای که بر یادگیری آماری داشتند، مطالعه کردند، حتما تغییرات نسخه جدید رو نیز بررسی کنند. در ادامه تغییرات رو قرار خواهم داد. (نسخه اول در پیامی که ریپلای شده قرار دارد. حدود سه سال پیش بود)

Two of the student interns (Summer 2020) of the NLP team at Tehran Institute for Advanced Studies, Mohsen Fayyaz and Ehsan Aghazadeh, had a paper accepted at EMNLP 2021 (BlackboxNLP). The paper, which is a joint work with Hosein Mohebbi, Ali Modaresi, and Mohammad Taher Pilehvar, reports an in-depth analysis on the distribution of encoded knowledge across layers in BERToid representations.

The course is excellent as well, but more about image processing. For NLP beginners, such clear and elegant survey about RNNs will be quite useful. So, a lot of architectures in NLP models came from image processing tasks. If you want to recap some theory or get understanding of basics of DL — strong recommendation!

Is a self-driving car smarter than a seven-month-old?
By the age of seven months, most children have learned that objects still exist even when they are out of sight. Put a toy under a blanket and a child that old will know it is still there, and that he can reach underneath the blanket to get it back. This understanding, of “object permanence”, is a normal developmental milestone, as well as a basic tenet of reality.
It is also something that #self_driving_cars do not have.
