‘LARGE AND SUDDEN’ FLU OUTBREAK BRINGS CDC INVESTIGATORS TO UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
Hundreds of students at University of Michigan have been 'sickened with the flu', triggering an investigation into what the CDC have called a “large and sudden” outbreak.

Since Oct. 6, 528 cases have been recorded across the University's Ann Arbor campus in Washtenaw County. The school reports that approximately three-quarters of those infected were unvaccinated against the flu (but we know 100% of then had to be fully vaxxed with the mRNA gene-altering shot due to school mandates...)

The majority of cases — 313 — have been reported within the last 2 weeks alone. “While we often start to see some flu activity now, the size of this outbreak is unusual,” health officials said... laughably they urged residents to get their flu shots. [ Article ]

JACKSONVILLE FIREFIGHTER DROPS DEAD AFTER WORKING VEHICLE CRASH
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Dept is mourning the loss of another firefighter. Michael L. Freeland, 36, was working at the scene of a traffic crash involving a “difficult and prolonged extrication.” Freeland was in the back of a U-Haul truck attempting to rescue the driver, before he stepped out of the truck, and collapsed. The cause of his death is undetermined at this time.

He is the 3rd line-of-duty JFRD death in last 6 months. Capt. Thomas Barber, who served the department for 21 years and was 51 years old, died from a heart attack in June within hours of completing his shift. Lt. NORTHEAST ORGANIC DAIRY FARMERS MAY GET SQUEEZED OUT OF BUSINESS
Danone, which owns Horizon Organic, terminated 89 contracts in the Northeast. Some local family farms like the Mehurens have been shipping their milk to Horizon since 2008. Their 45 holsteins produce around lbs of milk per day, and they also raise beef animals and a handful of sheep.

14 Maine organic dairy farms that received termination letters, are part of the state’s 196 dairy farms, 40% of which are organic.

As Maine’s second largest agricultural product, dairy accounts for more than $570 million a year, according to the Maine Dairy Industry Association. A hit of this size is likely to have a ripple effect. It’s a big deal for a processor to withdraw from an entire region, and it’s devastating for those farms that have lost their contracts with few if any alternate buyers.
