غلام سیاه ابوذر غفاری بود که پس از شهادت مولایش به مدینه برگشت و در خدمت اهل بیت در آمد. امام او را رخصت داد و آزادش کرد ولی او با اصرار می‌خواست از خاندان پیامبر جدا نشود. پس از نبرد وقتی بر زمین افتاد امام خود را بر بالین او رساند و چهره بر چهره‌اش گذاشت و او را دعا کرد.

Burayr ibn Khazeer Hamdani
He was one of the loyal companions of Imam Hussain (PBUH), a reciter and teacher of the Quran, and one of the brave men of Kufa from the Hamdan tribe. In 60 AH, he went from Kufa to Makkah and joined the Imam and came to Kufa with him. On the day of Ashura, he went to the battlefield after Hurr and fought until he was martyred.

✍️Imam Sajjad (PBUH): "Anyone who has done you a favor deserves your appreciation and you should mention what he has done for you and regard him well, and honestly pray God for him. When you do all these, you have certaily thanked him in overt and covert. Then return his favor whenever you can afford to."

✍️امام سجاد علیه السلام: «حق کسی به تو نیکی کرده این است که از او تشکر کنی و نیکی‌اش را به زبان آوری و از وی به خوبی یاد کنی و میان خود و خدای عزوجل برایش خالصانه دعا کنی. هر گاه چنین کردی، بی گمان پنهانیو آشکارا از او تشکر کرده‌ای. سپس اگر روزی توانستی نیکی او را جبران کنی، جبران کن.»
