All these sites have a similar form of Stone Enclosure around the Burials, which take various forms such as Cremations in Urns, Burials in Jars (Pithoi) and Stone Cists. The ones at Ranutovac are the Simplest, also where Cremation seems to have Dominated.β¦
Vessel Burials, which make up the Majority at Logkas, are also found in Ranutovac, although in Ranutovac they are Cremations on Pyres.

Working on Regional Variants of the Yamnaya Culture.
The map is soon complete, however i am very unsatisfied with the Site-Density in Ukraine and Russia. I was able to find much material for Hungary and Moldova as you can see by the site density. No doubt it is similar for Ukraine and Russia but i do not speak either of those languages and have not been able to find books or articles with site maps.
If you speak or are Russian or Ukranian and have PDFs or Links, please DM me.

π GOOD NEWS FOR EVERY MAPTIST WITH AN ACTIVE PAGE
We're taking this channel out of its winter slumber with some good news for those of you who actively run a page in this niche.
If you follow us on π, you may have noticed that we've started branching into reconstructions to run parallel to our maps and map animations, aiming to make them more visual and accessible.
The response has been far larger and more positive than expected. Thank you all very much.
Because of this, we have decided to license these reconstructions under CC BY 4.0.

THREAD: THE MARKOMANNIC EMPIRE
While not fully stratified, An Argument can be made that the First Germanic Empire is Marobodus' Empire, 9bc-18ad.
This was a Tribal Confederation, although Marobodus explicitly Proclaimed himself as the King of the other Tribes under him, much to the contempt of the Semnones and Langobardi.
The Markomanni were by far the most Powerful and Stratified Tribe in Germania, and through being close friends with Rome, formed a large federation of mostly Economic Basis, which greatly Enriched the Markomanni and their Allies.
Depicted on the map are Specific types of Almgren Fibula associated with the Markomanni and their Trade Network, as well as the Tribes described as being part of Marobodus' Empire.
