Binance has opened crude oil and Brent oil futures markets. They say the index will stay frozen during weekends or market holidays, which is pretty interesting.

Since I’ve been deep in the RWA rabbit hole lately, this honestly feels like even bigger news to me this week than the EdgeX TGE.

Of course, the rules around how the index and mark price are handled can change over time, so it’s hard to say exactly how this will evolve.

But I’m always interested in the kinds of asymmetries that can emerge in the early stages of a market.
