Light Wagami's Death Note

I know I've been shitposting a lot and soft shilling some coins I was bullish on, but wanted to share some overall trench thoughts to also help me recap my experience of the past few days.

Regarding memes: Memes in general honestly feeling so cooked, 99% of the stuff that is running is just a bundled KOL shillfest. We finally get a new game to play but all the sidelined folks are too busy gravedancing and shilling their bundled garbage to appreciate the fresh change in pace. Really makes you wonder why they're crying in the first place? There's so few memes with genuine communities and solid narratives that are worth holding. If you need 5000 threadoors to explain the same thesis, is the thesis really that good in the first place? Bonkfun and to a lesser extent boopfun were a rude awakening for PF, who only started "caring" about the trenches after they took a major hit to their revenue. All these things magically in the works only after bonk and boop started vamping their users. Not to say that these changes aren't good for the overall eco, just that the competition was much needed as there was definitely a monopoly.

Regarding launchcoin eco: For the first time in months, we have something fresh, and actual non-web3 natives trying to enter the space, which is what everyone has been begging for, but now that these people finally show up, nah, were permatopped!! haha losers!!! Again, want to clarify that's not to say you can't make money on memes and such, just feels -EV still overall. I could be wrong, maybe a new meme comes out that's just super great, which I will obviously bid, but until then just going to try to get better at sitting on hands.

I don't think the initial launch has gone amazing, or else the PA obviously would have reflected different, and definitely got caught up in some of the euphoria as well and donated a bunch back getting caught in my own echo chamber, that's just something to keep working on. Think this thing has so much higher to go, but will definitely not happen over night. Actually would be terrible if it happened overnight. I genuinely believe that there are some very good builders who are waiting to get onboarded into the eco, and that Launchcoin really does need a product launched on the platform to blow up to become extremely successful. Don't necessarily think any of the current projects are that, but do think there are some solid existing projects that have already been launched.

The thing people don't realize, and I think this was highlighted in the Full Port podcast earlier w/ Ansem + Dupe dev, is that building takes time! People literally want a fully finished product to launch and go instantly to 100M, which makes 0 sense because the ethos of the fucking app is to encourage people to build on it, and that you use the revenue from fees to support continued building. Why would you keep building a fully polished finished product? ATP it would just be using believe to advertise. I do think a fair criticism thus far has been a lot of sleazy/shitty web2 devs have seen the initial volume from more successful launches on days 1 & 2 and came for a quick payday, which they have then had the rude awakening that you don't just get all your fees instantly. Personally, I think this is actually good design that literally encourages the devs who genuinely want the revenue as a funding source to CONTINUE building, although I do think the Launchcoin team should make that part a little more clear, as there has been some FUD on CT regarding precisely this. Even launchcoin is a work in progress, so don't expect them to have everything perfect on day 1, and as long as they are receptive to feedback and implementing the right feedback (which they have shown they are), i have relatively high hopes longer time frame.
