Been noticing that the recent big AI runners have had very large drawdowns (at least -70%) immediately after the initial hype pump before the actual pump (swarms, SNAI to name two recent ones). Need to remind myself to not FOMO and that opportunities are plentiful. Good tech takes time to build, so if you miss the first pump, don't buy the FOMO candle and instead wait for it to -70, which it inevitably will, and use that time to DD the project β is the team still building despite negative PA? A lot of teams are releasing some oftentimes not even MVP product just to get their coin on everyone's radar. Obviously none of these coins have any real utility, and they're just ways for you to speculate on the valuation of whatever project. Think the best r/r is to actually focus on older AI projects (1+ week) that are in their -70 to -90 range, and buy projects where you believe in the dev

Okay who else thinks that these teams are legit just farming all the fake CAs themselves before deploying the real coin

who is building the tech that sends all the social media interns/mods to jail

True props to the Kolwaii dev, he's proving just how good of a gold farmer he is π

If I only had an hour left to live, I'd choose to spend it waiting for the kolwaii launch because it feels like an eternity.

Definitely needed to read this π
. Another thing I learned (but don't always practice) and wanted to add regarding maintaining mental clarity is that it's important to be cognizant of the information asymmetry, and that just because you saw a coin at 100k, or 1M, doesn't necessarily mean you had all the information necessary to make a +EV bet. Perhaps more information was revealed to you at 5M or even 10M, such that the bet finally became +EV. There's no point coping about how early you saw the coin, especially if you stare at memescope all day, since you did not have the information that would have allowed you to act when you first saw the coin (unless of course you're just completely gambling). Both of these are definitely things I need to keep working on!

Another thing I've been struggling with a lot has been where to TP. I often find myself able to trim initials close to the top, but it hurts to sell more than just that, which as caused me to roundtrip so much money. Something that I saw recently that's helped a lot is one of the clips from Rowdy's interview that he did and point he shared about how if nothing has fundamentally changed about your thesis, you shouldn't change your TP. Great example of this is how I managed to sell initials of Jelly at ~200M, but then wanted to hold the rest for ~500M, because everyone was saying it was going to flip Vine. 250M would have been the perfect sell (obvious in hindsight), as no new information really came out about Jelly being so revolutionary that could give it the sustained legs to run to 500M β if anything, I should have sold even faster because everyone knew how bad the app was.

Got pretty rekt on the Libra trade, probably my biggest loss so far, don't really feel tilted, more so just disappointed in myself for the poor execution. Just wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on some more sobering aspects of the market, and use it as a serious opportunity to grow as a trader. I actually had an insanely good first entry, but didn't size as well as I would have liked to; hesitated way too much and then fell victim to the classic trap of buying on the way up.
If I had just slammed exactly what I had want to, or been happy w/ my initial sizing, I would have definitely at LEAST taken initials out at ~3.5. Other main issue was falling victim to the echo bull chamber. This trade there was a lot more information asymmetry, but not a lot of execution asymmetry β all the big players knew exactly what to do and acted accordingly, and kudos to them, whereas on Trump and Melania, there was a lot more hesitation, but most people I know who were in the trade essentially bought the entire bag they wanted w/in like 5 minutes.
Another big takeaway for me personally was something a friend shared in DMs about how group chats are a great place to pull objective data, but when a trade is ongoing, it's probably better try and take a step back and not get sucked into the bull echo chamber (i.e. always sell at least some during the slash spam). This is definitely still something I have a huge ways to grow, as I still find myself being influenced by external confluence a little too much. Hope no one else got extremely rekt, although based off the PA something tells me most people did π

Also want to add that if you also got rekt, probably a good idea to take a break and not revenge trade anything.
