This strange-looking installation is a movable public toilet.

The Throne is a 3D-printed toilet intended to provide accessible sanitation for people in remote areas, refugee settlements, and urban slums. It has a streamlined teardrop shape and was made mainly from discarded single-use plastic from medical facilities. The team used a commercial composting toilet for hygienic reasons. They enlarged the interior to give users more room to move around, where users can also find a shelf for toilet paper, a phone holder, and a container of wood chips to eliminate odors.

Spanish studio Nagami designed the Throne for social enterprise https://To.org Foundation. The toilet is installed in Gstaad in the Swiss Alps in August 2021. To further commercialize the idea, the team still needs to reduce the production costs.This strange-looking installation is a movable public toilet.

Rain Oculus at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, is a striking art installation designed by Ned Kahn and Moshe Safdie.

This 72-foot-wide (22 m) acrylic bowl creates a mesmerizing whirlpool of recycled rainwater that cascades two stories into a canal below, blending art, architecture, and sustainability.

Activated hourly at 10 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM, 8 PM, and 11 PM, it serves as both a skylight and a water feature, symbolizing prosperity and renewal in Asian culture.

It recycles rainwater to irrigate surrounding gardens, visitors can enjoy the “mini Niagara” view from Basement 2 or relax at the nearby Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
