• Жополиз (жополизы) (masc.noun)

Literal meaning: ЖОПа (ass) + linking O + ЛИЗать (to lick) = ass-licker.

Actual meaning: A sycophant, a brown‑noser - someone who flatters and grovels to those in power for personal gain.

The Russian suffix that gave Russians a famous surname

🔻In Russian, there is a masculine suffix -ин that denotes possession - it answers the question whose?.

Example:

• мама (mom) → мамИН шарф = a scarf belonging to mom.

• Лена (a proper name) → ЛенИН кот = a cat belonging to Lena.

🔻The surname Ленин (Lenin) sounds exactly like the possessive adjective derived from the name Лена (Lena).

🔻So, based on the language structure alone, Ленин can be interpreted as belonging to Lena - a perfectly grammatical and logical form!

🔥 But here's the twist:
This is purely a grammatical coincidence - not the historical reason for the choice of his pseudonym. In reality, Vladimir Lenin took his surname from the Lena River in Siberia. 💙
