Preposition ПО means:
1. Movement or direction:
• По лестнице
[pa les-ni-tse]
Up/down the stairs
2. Time:
• По утрам
[po ut-ram]
In the mornings
3. Distribution or Manner:
• По одному
[pa ad-na-mu]
One by one
4. Purpose:
• По делу
[pa de-lu]

5. Following a certain pattern:

According to the rules
6. Indicating a feature or characteristic:
