Palace of Grand Duke Vladimir (a younger brother of Emperor Alexander III)
🔻The palace was built according to the design of the architect A. I. Rezanov in 1867-1868, but for several more years, until 1874, the decoration of the premises continued.
🔻The building sides of the palace are designed in the Neo-Renaissance style.
🔻The palace amazes with its grandeur and huge number of rooms (more than 350), which were made in a wide variety of styles: neo-baroque, neo-rococo, neo-gothic, Russian, 'Moorish style'.
🔻After 1917, the building housed various institutions, and since the 1920s the palace has been occupied by the 'House of Scientists named after M. Gorky.'
🔻Currently, various seminars are held here, as well as scientific events.
