The lilies of the valley

🔻The Lilies of the Valley egg is a jewelled Fabergé egg made under the supervision of the Russian jeweller Peter Carl Fabergé in 1898.

🔻It was presented on April 5 to Tsar Nicholas II, who gave it as a gift to his wife, the Tsarina, Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna.

🔻The egg is part of the Victor Vekselberg Collection, owned by The Link of Times Foundation and housed in the Fabergé Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

🔻The mural looks like a 3D illusion: a three-dimensional female figure is placed in a painted niche on the wall of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of UrFU in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

🔻The artists made their drawing monochrome: it uses only natural shades of white and gray to convey the feeling of a real sculpture.

🔻Saint Catherine is depicted wearing a crown with a palm branch and a scroll. When darkness falls, letters and a halo are projected onto the mural.

🔻The image of St. Catherine was created by the artists of the Spektr team together with the production team of Stenka.

🖼 Russian artists in Dumbledore's office.

On the walls of the Hogwarts director's office among the paintings there are “Tsar Ivan Vasilyevich the Terrible” (1897) by Viktor Vasnetsov, “Portrait of the writer Nestor Vasilyevich Kukolnik” (1836) by Karl Bryullov and two paintings by Ilya Repin - “Rest. Portrait of Vera Alekseevna Repina, the artist’s wife” (1882) and “Protodeacon” (1877).
