😎 Приветики, товарищи!

Раз or Один?

Раз = one
  [ras]

Один = one
  [a-din]

🔻Раз, два, три” is really only used when counting orally.

🔻Один, два, три” is the main way to count “one, two, three” both orally and in written form.

🔻Some people might say that counting “раз, два, три” is not grammatically correct, but the phrase is so common and familiar that it’s no use crying over that spilled milk.

🔻BTW 'Раз' сan be not only a numeral but also a noun:

Раз (разы)
  [ras (ra-zy)]
  Time(s)

Раз, два три! И она села на шпагат с первого раза!
[ ras, dva, tri, i a-na se-la na shpa-gat s per-va-va ra-za]
🇬🇧 One two, three! And she did the splits the very first time!

🔻On April 19 (8), 1783, Empress Catherine II signed the Imperial Manifesto “On the acceptance of the Crimean Peninsula, Taman Island and the entire Kuban land into the Russian Empire.”

🔻Russian territorial acquisitions were the result of the Crimean campaign of Grigory Potemkin of 1782-1783, the liquidation of the Crimean Khanate - a former vassal of the Ottoman Empire, which gained independence from Turkey and Russia as a result of the Russian-Turkish War of 1768-1774 and the abdication of the last Crimean Khan Shahin Giray.

Доброе утро, товарищи!

ТЕПЕРЬ vs СЕЙЧАС

Теперь
  [ti-per']

Сейчас (from old Slav. 'сей' + 'час' -> this hour)
  [siy-chas]

🔻Both adverbs are translated as 'now'. ▶️Но есть один нюанс!

🔻СЕЙЧАС refers to a shorter period of time: 'at this very moment'.

Мы отдыхаем сейчас.
  [my a-dy-kha-yem siy-chas]
🇬🇧 We're taking some rest now. (Without any link to the previous actions).

🔻Whereas ТЕПЕРЬ is a broad concept of time in a number of concepts “раньше (before), теперь (now), потом (after that)”, more shaded by the meaning of 'result' or 'then/after that'.

Мы всю неделю работали ▶️как папа Карло. Теперь мы отдыхаем.
[my vsyu ni-de-lyu ra-bo-ta-li kak pa-pa kar-la. ti-per' my a-dy-kha-yem]
🇬🇧 We've been working hard the whole week. Now we're relaxing.

🙄Доброе утро, дорогие мои товарищи!
С понедельником вас!

Раскачиваться (imperfective)
  [ras-ka-chi-va-tsa]
=
Раскачаться (perfective)
  [ras-ka-cha-tsa]

🔻From the verb 'качать' to rock, to swing

🔻Prefix РАС- when added to verbs, forms verbs with the meaning of increasing intensity.

1) The original meaning is to swing, to sway from side to side.

2) However, there's a 💢colloquial meaning of the verb: to get off to a slow start, to be slow to start acting.

Что-то ты медленно раскачиваешься! Давно пора начать работу!
[chto-ta ty med-lin-na ras-ka-chi-va-yish-sya! dav-no pa-ra na-chat' ra-bo-tu]

Год vs Лет?

Год (года) (masc.noun)
  [got (go-da)]
=
Лет (genitive, plural)
  [let]
Year(s) (old)

🔻The rule is simple:

2, 3, 4 - ГОДА

5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,
and the rest numerals in '-надцать' (13-19)- ЛЕТ

20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 - ЛЕТ

🔻Compound numerals depends on the LAST part:
