Community Vote to Extend The Open League

Based on feedback from participants and projects, TON Society proposes extending Season 5 of The Open League to 4 weeks instead of 2. This extension aims to give early-stage projects more time to compete and allow the entire TON Community to benefit from The Open League rewards.

Vote ends on July 3, 2024, 11:00 UTC.

Important updates for the Token Battle of Season 5

▪️ The Token Battle deadline for Season 5 applications is extended to July 5th, 11:00 AM UTC.
▪️ The TVL requirement has been reduced from $200K to $100K.
▪️ The rest of the eligibility criteria stay as is. Season 5 applications for other Battles have already closed.

The Open League Season 5: Important updates

Based on the results of the recent community vote, Season 5 of The Open League will run for 4 weeks from July 10th to August 7th. Here's what you need to know:

Battle updates

Applications are now closed for all 4 battles: App, Token, NFT, and DeFi. Eligible projects will receive official approval on TON Research and be added to the respective leaderboard.

App Battle:
▪️ A new 'New holders' metric will be added to the App leaderboard to encourage teams to launch their tokens.
▪️ The 'Median TX count' metric will be removed from the App leaderboard.

Token Battle:
▪️ We are introducing a new method for calculating the TVL and price changes to account for variations in the TVL of participating tokens, ensuring a level playing field for all.

NFT Battle:
▪️ The NFT battle continues next season without prizes, but with exciting updates for NFTs on TON coming soon.

Prize limits

▪️ There’s a new annual prize limit of $500K per project for the App, DeFi and Token Battles.
▪️ Projects reaching this limit since the Pilot Season are not eligible for additional rewards until January 1, 2025.
▪️ This limit does not affect the LP boost for good performance in the Token leaderboard.
▪️ The aim is to diversify the TON Ecosystem and support small to mid-sized projects to compete in the @league and grow.
▪️ Projects hitting the $500K mark will receive a special label as a mark of outstanding achievement.

Season 5 has kicked off, featuring $1.15M in prizes over the next 4 weeks!

Compete across 4 leaderboards: App, DeFi, Token, and NFT. 27 out of 40+ applications were accepted, bringing the total number of @league Battle contestants to almost 150.
