I’ve just received a call from Sam Melia in HMP Hull. His Probation Officer has just informed him that they’ve been “inundated” with letters and emails complaining about Sam not being able to have any contact with his children. As a result, they‘ve decided to remove all but one of the restrictions. This means that Sam can now:

- Receive photographs of his children
- Receive letters from his children
- Talk to his children on the phone
- Talk about his children

He is still unable to receive visits from his children, however HMP Hull have advised they only haven’t removed this because they legally aren’t allowed to as an assessment has already started to take place. This means the assessment is already moving forward so hopefully the final restriction will be lifted very soon too, all being well.

This goes to show that:

A) Public pressure does work
B) They didn’t actually have to put all those restrictions on Sam in the first place, they just chose to

Thank you so much to everybody who complained to the prison. Honestly, from the bottom of our hearts. It means so much to me and Sam. I’ll let you all know what happens with the visit restriction as soon as I know more.

In a way, this makes me even more angry when you have proven the system wrong. Because it just creates more questions like, "If it was that easy to remove those restrictions, why did you keep them there initially?"

It's great news, Laura, but it took hundreds of disgusted emails and letters. So the warden now looks like a saviour somehow? I just think of poor saps that don't have global representation and a fanbase of letters. The warden wouldn't care less about them.

This is exactly what I said to Sam’s dad when we got the news! Why wasn’t it enough for them to lift the restrictions when I complained? Why did they tell me they had to be in place? Why did it take hundreds of complaints for them to act? And what about the people who don’t have the support that Sam does, do they just have to put up with the restrictions?

But at least we’ve learned that these restrictions, if ever put in place again, can be lifted, and we’ve learned that if we all act as one and put pressure on the prison, we can orchestrate change. If this happens again, we’ll know what to do.

Today we've had some AMAZING news.
After an incredible response to our campaign to raise awareness about the unfair conditions imposed on political prisoner Sam Melia, the prison and probation service have thankfully seen sense and allowed Sam to speak to his children again.
This is in no small part thanks to the huge number of people who wrote to the prison governor to voice their outrage at what were clearly outrageous restrictions.
This shows that people power works - and it shows the importance of community. When we come together, work as one and advocate for the rights of our people; we can WIN!
This is exactly the kind of activity that ANYONE can be involved in, and it's the kind of activity that gets real results.
Thank you to everyone who help spread awareness, everyone who sent kind messages of support and everyone who took the time to write to the prison.
Those acts of kindness have ensured that a good man can go to sleep this evening after to speaking with his daughters.

I was pretty proud of this interview as I felt like I articulated myself well and we covered ground that I hadn't in other interviews. One thing in particular is that we discussed the judge in Sam's case and how he did a 180 from trial to sentencing, and the possibility that somebody got to him.

How cool is it when your baby starts smiling and after taking care of them for weeks and getting no interaction back from them, you find out that they do in fact like you? 😁

My daughter just gave birth to twin daughters this afternoon by caesarean section. They both appear to be doing fine. I am now a grandfather! 😁

Just want to say thank you to everybody who sent a birthday card to Sam as it’s his birthday today. He told me HMP Hull couldn’t keep up with photocopying all his cards so they started giving him the originals. 😁

Our toddler made him a birthday cake yesterday and we sent him a picture. After covering it in icing, she chose to cut circles into the top and then paint it different colours with food colouring. Master Chef in the making!

It's official: Patrick Quinlan has been elected

Was just chatting to a Polish man and he brought up the football. I asked him if he’d be supporting Poland or England and he said he’d be cheering both teams on. I asked him if he considers himself British and he said he mainly uses his Polish passport now as it’s easier after Brexit. Interesting he thought I was asking about his passport when I wasn’t, but not surprising considering that’s all it takes nowadays to be “British”.

Imagine having to go through that as a parent. Imagine having to sit there and watch the monster who murdered your baby smile about it. It would take every ounce of your strength not to charge at her.

Hope she never sees the light of day outside her cell for the rest of her miserable bitter and empty life. More than that I hope one day the horror of what she did painfully descends upon her. I somehow doubt she is equipped for such awareness and empathy.
I also hope those responsible for deliberately casting the spell of critical race theory over such  inadequate limited people, suffer equally, but they are too malicious and psychopathic for such remorse. The loss for the parents must be overwhelming.

When Hope Not Hate say they “uncover secret deal” do they mean we posted about it because it isn’t secret and they saw our post? 😁

On a serious note, it’s great that four PA activists and Steve Laws are standing for the English Democrats next month! PA have the manpower but the Electoral Commission have refused to register us so far, however this is a way around that. Co-operation between serious nationalist groups and individuals will be vital going forward.
