@Jikkyleaks ➡️ This is a false statement by omission. It should say that cervical cancer deaths fell to zero in young women irrespective of vaccination status. That is multifactorial due to change in screening and under-age sexual activity in the UK. No RCT has shown a reduction in cancer.

Teenage pregnancies are a surrogate for underage sexual activity (which drives cervical cancer rates in the under 25s). In the UK they fell off a cliff in 2007 - the year the iphone came out and the HPV vaccine rollout started.

We're missing something really important in the "where did all the pregnancies go?" question. That is, what happened to teenage pregnancies - a constant for nearly 30 years - which suddenly fell off a cliff in 2007... The year the HPV vaccine rolled out.

OK I'll prove it. Here is the data from NHS digital showing that contraceptive usage in under 16s in the UK actually DROPPED after the HPV vaccine rollout in 2007.

The 80% fall in teenage pregnancies is because of a dramatic drop in sexual activity. That's why the cervical cancers disappeared in that age group - and only in that age group. Women who had the HPV vaccine in late teens did NOT see a drop in cervical cancer deaths.

The argument that the massive drop in teenage pregnancies in the UK was due to increased contraception would have required a 400% increase in contraceptive usage. Instead, it dropped. It looks like it was the iphone, not the HPV vaccine, that fixed the teenage pregnancy problem and postponed the cervical cancer problem.
