Last week when I sneaked up to Detroit to surprise April Moss.
April told me the story of her corporate bosses at CBS attempting to pressure her out of asking local health leaders the questions the CBS viewers had.
This is when corporate news interferes with journalism. Journalism’s first loyalty is to the citizens. Its first obligation is to the truth.
From a supply and demand standpoint, news outlets are committing a slow suicide by alienating their viewers and their questions.
I’m here to applaud any journalist bold enough to do journalism in the face of corporate pressure. April and I are the latest in a slew of journalists who’ve chosen to go independent.
If you’re still on the inside, hold your bosses’ feet to the fire on every fact they try to suppress. Demand an answer from them. It will make a slow difference. I was making headway inside FOX. It’s much easier on the outside though.

Happy birthday, James! A guy who practices more of the principles of journalism than a lot of news people, and is in turn hated by the MSM cult. 🥵
These pics are from when my story about Fox first released, and Fox put out a false statement about me that evening. Watching your former team write falsehoods about you isn’t fun. So James said let’s go for a walk, and he told me of all the falsehoods people have written about him over the years.
I wiped my tears and toughened up. Everything I’ve said about Fox is true and beneficial to the viewers to know.
As they say, be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you really are, while your reputation is only what people think you are. James O’Keefe is a man of character. 👏🏼

It is so upsetting to hear these stories from newsrooms across America. These are just a few of the messages I’ve received from fellow journalists trying to cover facts on the ground and getting harassed or disciplined for doing so.
I want to do a project highlighting as many of these voices as I can. If enough people stand up, we can lead a return to the principles of journalism—a return to a direct connection to the news consumers and the facts on the ground without interference from corporate interests.
If you’re a journalist with a story that could shed light on the problems in our industry, send me a DM or an email. I won’t out you unless you want to be public, but going public will really help improve the state of news in America.
