Among the many day trip destinations from St. Petersburg, there are some that require a special pass to visit. This includes Lubenskoye Lake, the localities of Lebyazhye and Ivangorod, as well as several picturesque islands in the Narva Reservoir and the Gulf of Finland. You can find a full list of these border-adjacent locations here.
But that’s no reason not to explore all the sights that Northwest Russia has to offer! Obtaining permission is easy: you can do it via the Gosuslugi portal or the online office of the Federal Security Service.

🟡 abit.itmo.ru is the main admissions website. Here, you can find a list of programs for the upcoming academic year and submit your documents via your personal account.
🟡 at int.itmo.ru, you’ll find step-by-step application guides for future Bachelor’s and Master’s students of Russian-taught programs, as well as international Master’s programs (taught in English). There’s also a page dedicated to migration requirements for your arrival in Russia.
🟡 and in this post, we’ve compiled the key info about joining the Foundation Program
