🇺🇸 The CPI markets on Kalshi & Polymarket are predicting 0.2% MoM inflation for June.

There is support for and outside forecasts of 0.3%, however. We will know at 8:30AM. May’s number was 0.1%.

This is likely to impact the policy rate debate. Many people are currently convinced there will be a cut in September.

🇺🇸 We came in at 0.3% MoM on the CPI. Core CPI MoM at 0.2%.

That’s Wall Street consensus for MoM CPI. Core CPI’s 0.2% was under. YoY CPI came in 0.1 hot at 2.7%. YoY Core CPI also came in under at 2.9% instead of 3%.
