Roughly 6x KC-135R/T refueling tankers with the US Air Force have departed al-Udied Air Base in Qatar, bounding south, following a statement by the Qatari National Media Office which declared that the US Army will evacuate its personnel from the base “due to tensions in the region.”

At least eight flights scheduled to fly in Iranian Airspace have turned away from it.

This change in flight plans coincides within minutes of remarks made by US President Donald Trump that “the killings and executions inside Iran had been reported to have stopped”. The last KC-135 departed at ~19:27 UTC, 35 minutes before the C-17As were told to stand down.

This could possibly be a deception. The US moved a complete additional strike package when it struck Iran last year just for deception. Nothing is predictable. Such moves are still not a strong evidence of something, but should always be noted. Earlier today, Qatar’s al-Jazeera reported that US President Donald Trump had informed Iran that he does not intend to attack.
