Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to call up Russian citizens currently in the Mobilization Human Reserve of the Armed Forces for special training sessions in 2026 "to ensure the protection of critical infrastructure and other life-support facilities."
Asked whether the US plans to deploy its troops in Ukraine along the line of demarcation or at the border as part of the planned security guarantees, Ukrainian President Vlodomyer Zelensky said that he is holding talks with US President Donald Trump on the possible deployment, but stressed that such a decision would depend solely on the US, adding that it would be a strong position in terms of the guarantees.
