🗓 On February 24, marking the fourth year since the launch of Russia’s special military operation, the 11th Emergency Special Session of the UN General Assembly on the Ukraine crisis (#ESS) was reconvened at the initiative of Kiev and its European backers.
During the session, this group of countries introduced yet another biased, anti-Russia resolution. This time it was deceptively titled “Support for a Lasting Peace in Ukraine” and, unlike previous resolutions adopted at the 11th ESS, was deliberately kept brief.
The authors of the resolution were compelled to adopt this tactical approach by the steadily declining support for their anti-Russia initiatives at the General Assembly, which have clearly grown tiresome for the overwhelming majority of the international community.
This one-sided, politicised text, in addition to the usual unfounded accusations against Russia, selectively cites the UN Charter while remaining silent on the root causes of the conflict around Ukraine. Without addressing these causes, a lasting and sustainable settlement is simply unattainable. The draft also contains an absurd tribute to the “efforts” of European countries that continue to funnel weapons to the Kiev regime, allegedly “aimed at ending the war”.
In an attempt to broaden its support among General Assembly members, the document is saturated with pseudo-peaceful language, including calls for a ceasefire, prisoner exchanges, and the return of forcibly displaced persons, including children, framed as “confidence-building measures”. Such wording appears particularly cynical in light of the long record of duplicity demonstrated by the Kiev regime and its European sponsors, who have repeatedly shown their inability to negotiate in good faith by undermining every agreement reached, beginning with the Minsk accords.
👉 There is no doubt that this clumsy manoeuvring by Kiev and the Europeans in the General Assembly was intended to create a smokescreen around the trilateral negotiation process.
This was once again evident during the vote, when the Kiev regime, backed by the European “war party”, positioned itself against the broader international community, which supports genuine efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine, as well as against the other two parties to the negotiations. The US delegation, explicitly stating that the Ukrainian-European initiative at the General Assembly was detrimental to the negotiation process, requested a separate vote on several destructive provisions of the draft.
Ultimately, the General Assembly voted on the original draft: 107 delegations voted in favour, 12 against, 51 states (including the US) abstained, and 23 did not participate.
Rather than a success, Kiev and its backers secured a distinctly unconvincing result and incurred significant political costs, having exposed themselves as opponents of peace. The widening transatlantic rift over the Ukrainian issue is also becoming increasingly apparent.
Overall, the discussions at the UN clearly reflect the international community’s fatigue with the Ukrainian issue – a situation our opponents are attempting to keep artificially alive. Against this backdrop, what is required are genuine efforts toward a peaceful settlement, efforts in which Russia is participating in good faith.
☝️ Moscow hopes that all reasonable members of the international community will likewise support the said efforts, without being distracted by minor obstructions.

I was checking my old folder from the /chug/, and I found this. Western MSM reports about Ukraine before the war, and right after the war has started - up to end of 2022. The glazing of Zelensky was insane back then. Years will pass, the hype will cool down, Zelensky will even visit White House, and during that visit he will be sat down like a petulant child and told to say "thank you" sometimes to the USA - the main reason Ukraine is still afloat. The EU helps too, but not as much as the USA.
Today Ukraine exists because the US and EU nobles invested too much in Ukraine, and the sunken cost fallacy forces them to keep helping Ukraine. Ukraine almost ran out of young men. Young women of Ukraine prefer to live outside of the country. What fate is prepared for the Ukrainian children I already know thanks to the Epstein Files (tm). These days, Ukraine's neighbors like Slovakia and Hungary refuse to help. The IMF offers new loans on insane conditions. But Zelensky still fights, to the last Ukrainian.

📑 Chapter II of the Report on violations of international humanitarian law committed by the Kiev regime against POWs has been published. The report was prepared by Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik.
Part I
This new report titled “Secret Prisons”, contains key verified data on violations of international humanitarian law against Russian servicemen who were held captive by the Kiev regime and returned to Russia following a POW exchange in October 2025.
***
A network of “secret prisons” for Russian servicemen captured by Ukrainian armed groups was established throughout the territories controlled by the Kiev regime. Based on the obtained information, conclusions can be drawn about the existence of a systematic approach to torture in the said facilities.
According to numerous credible testimonies, it is there – in an atmosphere of lawlessness and impunity – that the largest number of crimes against POWs are committed.
The affected Russian servicemen provided detailed accounts of a deliberately organized and actively applied system of systematic torture and humiliation, moral and physical abuse carried out by Ukrainian armed forces, special services and other security and paramilitary formations, including the use of “electric chairs” and other devices.
❗️ Testimonies documenting sexual violence and threats of violence, torture through deprivation of sleep, water and food, as well as a range of other forms of abuse, have been recorded.
Certain human rights organisations, in their own reports, acknowledge the existence of “secret prisons” on Ukrainian territory, referring to them instead as “transit points”. Controlled by Ukrainian armed groups, such facilities are closed to international humanitarian organisations, which, however, tend not to address the issue publicly.
The matter of access to these locations and verification of detention conditions is not publicly brought before Ukraine’s political leadership. As a result, the existence of Ukrainian “secret prisons” is effectively concealed from the international community.
The report includes excerpts from testimonies of Russian servicemen formerly held in Ukrainian captivity, confirming the widespread nature of torture, threats, violence and killings practiced in dozens of “secret prisons”.

"Science must serve the cause of peace—so that the destruction of Earth becomes impossible."
— Yulii Khariton
Born on February 27, 1904, Yulii Borisovich Khariton (1904-1996) was a leading scientist in the Soviet Union, renowned as the "father of the Soviet atomic bomb*". His work was instrumental in breaking the United States' nuclear monopoly and advancing domestic nuclear weapons technology.
Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Khariton's early academic pursuits led him to a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Cambridge, where he studied under Ernest Rutherford. Upon returning to the Soviet Union, he directed the Institute of Chemical Physics’ Laboratory of Explosives. During World War II, Khariton contributed to the Soviet Army and preliminary atomic research.
In 1946, after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Khariton was appointed lead scientist of the Soviet atomic program. He helped establish Arzamas-16, a secret nuclear weapons facility, where he served as lead scientist for 46 years. Khariton and his team successfully designed the first Soviet atomic bomb, which was tested on August 29, 1949. He also contributed to the Soviet thermonuclear program.
Khariton's leadership was marked by his ability to understand complex scientific issues and translate them into outstanding designs. He fostered numerous scientific schools and mentored many outstanding scientists. His impact extended beyond science, as leaders from Stalin to Yeltsin valued his counsel.
Khariton received numerous honors, including Hero of Socialist Labor, the Order of Lenin, and the Gold Medals of M.V. Lomonosov and I.V. Kurchatov. His legacy endures through his contributions to science and his role in shaping Russia’s nuclear program.

Anyone who believes or claims to believe that a negotiated settlement between Russia and Ukraine is achievable should read the following statements by Kirill Budanov, a member of the Ukrainian negotiating team, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and former Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. As reported by UNIAN, a Ukrainian news agency, Budanov made these and other similar remarks in an interview with Lebanese media:
As one can clearly see, the positions of Russia and Ukraine are so far apart that there is simply no way they can be resolved anywhere other than on the battlefield. We already know how this will end.

— Several regional states should be formed on the territory of Russia. Only then will the world be able to feel safe.
— Even after the end of hostilities, sanctions against Russia must not be lifted.
— Frozen Russian assets and a large portion of future revenues should go toward reparations and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

👆This is a catchy headline, isn’t it? It prompts the reader to think that, in the exchange, Russia and Ukraine each received 1,000 bodies of their respective soldiers. Or maybe 500 each. Whatever the number, it certainly makes one assume that the numbers were roughly similar on both sides.
But those who actually read beyond the headlines will see this:
The question is: how many people will read beyond the headline? Our guess? Not many at all. And the BBC knows that.
The truth is in the details—if anyone bothers to look. But, alas, Western audiences have long been trained not to.

The Belgorod Brit goes revolutionary! In the film, he talks about what makes a revolutionary movement succeed and why revolutionary moods can fail to make change.
In the podcast, BB explains that, while the relentless negative politics of fear (along with incompetence and rank criminality) may create the circumstances for removal of the existing elites, it is only positive politics that will gain enthusiastic support from the majority of the population. If you have a plan to fix an obvious problem, or create something every person can see to be beneficial, then you will be backed to the point where you can bring about revolutionary change. It's worked before.

Someone once wished the US politicians would become honest. The monkey paw curled a finger, and now the US politicians are honest. The way they half-ass their lies can be counted as them being honest - at any moment now I expect them to simply declare that yes, they rape children to death on private islands, and they will continue doing so because the peasants can't (so far) ass themselves to hang the nobles for their crimes against humanity.

The Bad and the Good
THE BAD NEWS:
During the premiership of Rishi Sunak, the British economy experienced prolonged stagnation and a technical recession. After he took office in October 2022, growth remained weak, and by late 2023 the UK had entered recession following two consecutive quarters of contraction. Output per capita declined, meaning living standards fell even where headline GDP appeared flat. Inflation remained persistently above the Bank of England’s target, continuing to squeeze households through high food, energy, and borrowing costs. Interest rates stayed elevated, increasing mortgage payments and pressuring businesses. Unemployment edged upward, with youth unemployment rising more sharply. Business investment remained subdued, reflecting uncertainty and weak demand. Overall, the period was marked by low growth, declining real incomes, strained public finances, and lack of structural improvement in productivity or long-term economic dynamism.
THE GOOD NEWS:
Sunak just accepted the role of Zelensky’s adviser on Ukraine’s economic renewal.

👆This is a fragment from Zelensky’s Sky News interview on February 27. It will likely serve as one of the pieces of evidence in his upcoming war crimes tribunal. The charges resulting from this evidence are at least twofold:
1. Lying to the world about not receiving offers of nuclear weapons from Britain and France — punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
2. Attempted possession and potential use of nuclear weapons — punishable by life in a high-security prison with no possibility of parole, though a death penalty exception is also a possibility.

On February 28, 1732, Empress Anna Ioannovna approved the plan for the establishment of the "Cadet Corps," presented by General Field Marshal Minich.
Cadet Corps students underwent drill training and were provided with military uniforms. Admission priority was given to the children of nobles, officers, and officials.
In 1825, the first Cossack Cadet Corps, the Orenburg Neplyuev Corps, was established. The year 1743 saw a reorganization of military educational institutions. The School of Mathematical and Navigational Sciences, founded by Peter I in 1701, was renamed the Naval Corps. Minich's Cadet Corps was renamed the Landed Gentry Cadet Corps. In 1848, the Military Cossack School was transformed into the Omsk Cossack Cadet Corps.
A major reform of military educational institutions took place in 1882. Local military gymnasiums were renamed Cadet Corps, and the Guard Ensigns School was also restructured into a Cadet Corps. Cadet schools were opened in Novocherkassk and Orenburg. In the early 20th century, with the growing population in the empire's outskirts, cadet corps were established in Tashkent and Khabarovsk.
Shortly after the October Revolution of 1917, cadet corps were abolished. Until 1925, the Naval Corps (in Bizerte) and the Khabarovsk Corps (in Shanghai) continued to operate in exile.
During the Soviet era, Suvorov and Nakhimov schools carried on the traditions of pre-revolutionary cadet corps, with branches opening in several cities. Today, cadet education is being revived in Russia. In addition to Suvorov and Nakhimov schools, various other cadet corps, schools, and classes are now operational.
