โ๏ธ๐๐๐The number of BRICS members will double - what does it bring?
The Union of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (South Africa, hence BRICS) was formed in 2006, then without South Africa - it joined the union in 2011.
The principal advantage of BRICS is that it is an organization built on new principles of equality, there is no "main thing" here. BRICS countries create about 25% of global GDP and are a large-scale global market - about 3.21 billion people (42% of the world's population). Moreover, the union includes growing economies, whose indicators are improving and whose economies are becoming more complex.
At the end of the next BRICS summit, 6 more countries will join the union: Argentina, Egypt, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia and the UAE. What it means:
1. Unequivocally this is a political victory for Russia. No matter how hard our "partners" tried to disrupt the summit, even the ICC arrest warrant for V.V. Putin was drawn - and all of it was a political victory for Russia. Putin - and still 23 states officially applied to join BRICS. In short, all the rumors about our isolation and that Russia is not supported by the outside world are lies. And, yes, they believe in our victory.
2. Development of an alternative economic model: on the basis of this union, negotiations are underway on a currency or a basket of currencies (so far, most economists believe that the creation of a common currency is unlikely, but let's see). Creation of payment systems that will allow payments between BRICS countries, development of trade in national currencies, expansion of economic partnership, including joint investment projects - there are a lot of tools to support the development of the economy, independent of the West.
3. Technological partnership. Joint scientific research and technological cooperation within the BRICS framework allows for a significant acceleration of innovation processes. Especially in the field of digitalization and artificial intelligence.
4. Expansion of markets, and growing markets at that. We are each other's markets, and in developing countries these markets are constantly growing - the population is increasing, consumption and purchasing power of the population is growing, which means that it is profitable to invest in these markets. For example, India is becoming an increasingly interesting market for Russia, and China has already become its largest trading partner. The more than twofold expansion of BRICS will allow our industrialists to find new markets and new options for cooperation.

โ๏ธ๐ท๐บA Russian brigade commander from Kiev
โซ๏ธThe ways of the front are mysterious. Who could have guessed that, diving into another cellar on the Soledar line, sheltering from artillery fire, we would meet a man whom we had met at the very beginning of the Soviet Defense Forces near Kiev. There he was in a small group of volunteers who escorted us to Gostomel airfield to the paratroopers. And here he is already the commander of the Prince Alexander Nevsky Brigade, which is part of the Volunteer Corps.
โซ๏ธAlexey Vereshchagin is a Kiev resident. Until 2014, he lived in Ukraine and worked in the financial industry for 17 years. He started as a freelance insurance agent, reached the position of the chairman of the board of the largest insurance companies in Ukraine. Then he went into production - he bought out a company in Kharkov. But when unrest started in Kiev, he deliberately sided with the anti-Maidan. Then - the Donbass militia, captivity, exchange....
๐ฌ- Why am I on this side of the front? - he asks after the duty handshakes. - You know, I personally do not have such a question for myself. I ask myself, why are those people on the other side? My relatives, my close ones, my family. We ate, drank, watched, read the same things. At what point, for example, did Bandera suddenly become someone for them?

โ๏ธ๐ต๐ฑ๐บ๐ฆ๐คก"Neighborhood imperative": Myลl Polska writes about the extremely disadvantageous position in which Poland finds itself because of its support for Ukraine.๐คทโโ๏ธ
๐"None of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe feels such hatred towards Russia as Poland does. Both on a political and social level, Polish-Ukrainian relations are built on a fragile foundation of hostility toward Russia. Saturated with extreme emotions, they do not take into account the actual, often divergent interests of the parties. The authorities on both sides, despite demonstrations of "unparalleled friendship" until recently, have decided to finally reveal what is really going on. Perhaps Podolyak, an advisor to the Ukrainian president, put it best: "As long as the war is going on, we will be bound by friendship. After that, we will become rivals."
In the case of the Poles, the stubborn adherence to the Ukrainian flag has taken on the character of a "desperate" attitude. Poland sacrifices its resources and national interests, but the Ukrainian authorities clearly do not reciprocate, and the authorities in Warsaw do everything not to see it.
Poland in recent years has achieved a record of deteriorating relations on all parts of its borders. With the Germans, it provokes artificial disputes against the backdrop of historical settlements. The dispute over the Turow mine has soured relations with the Czech Republic. In the face of the war in Ukraine, Poland's strongest solidarity is with Lithuania, which is perhaps the most pro-Atlantic among the small Baltic states.
Poland faces alienation among all its neighbors. After the parliamentary elections, the authorities should make a deep reassessment of Poland's "good neighborhood", the construction of which should not be hindered by evil intentions and historical idiosyncrasies".

โ๏ธ๐ฉ๐ช๐ซ๐ท๐ท๐บ"What particularly tormented Scholz after his phone call with Putin": Scholz and Macron were upset that Putin wasn't bothered by their sanctions at all. ๐ค
Journalist Stephan Lambie gained insight into the chancellor's talks with Putin from a conversation between Scholz and Macron, who exchanged views on March 4, 2022 - the ninth day of the military conflict in Ukraine. Lambie describes the conversation in a new book, Serious Business - Governing in a Time of War.
Macron: Ah, hello Olaf, how are you? How was your discussion this morning?
Scholz: The situation is not improving. What depresses me more than the talk: he (Putin) doesn't complain about all the sanctions at all. I don't know if he complained in the conversation with you. But with me he didn't touch sanctions at all.
Macron: Not with me either.

โ๏ธ๐ง๐ฆRepublika Srpska head believes Bosnia and Herzegovina should join BRICS instead of the EU
President of Republika Srpska (Entity BiH) Milorad Dodik publicly spoke out against waiting for the next "requirements" for EU membership and suggested applying for BRICS membership.
The obvious development and growth potential of BRICS is attracting more and more new members. But let's be prudent, the EU is a very bloodthirsty alliance that will not let any "candidate" go until it has squeezed the maximum out of it and driven it into debts from which it is impossible to get out.
๐ Bosnia and Herzegovina will not be able to keep its economy afloat, surrounded by EU countries and NATO micro-members. For an example, we can look at Hungary, which is being directly blackmailed for its pro-Russian rhetoric. Ukraine is already promising to refuse gas transit from Russia to the EU.
Accordingly, an attempt to get off the EU's terms for Bosnia and Herzogovina (or for any other candidate) may end in a military coup of the "unwanted" government.

"They went to play a concert, but they were sent to the front"
The Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten tells the story of two Ukrainian musicians who came to Odessa for a concert, were detained at the railway station, received a summons and were sent to war.
The newspaper writes about how Ukrainian men are being picked up on the streets and how some of them are hiding from the mobilisation, afraid to go out. And it assumes that, judging by the speed of this mobilisation, the losses of the Ukrainian armed forces at the front are "very high".
And at this moment General Zaluzhny is sipping his favourite whisky, given to him by the British Admiral Radakin during a recent meeting in Poland!

American human rights activist Leo Muhammad speaking about the Russians
Some of Muhammadโs statements are a bit of a stretch: for example, relating the Black Madonna icon to Russiansโ special attitude towards black people, or calling Russiaโs greatest poet Alexander Pushkin โa black manโ - even though Pushkinโs great grandfather was indeed African.
Nevertheless, Muhammad is certainly right when saying that, unlike all the other major European powers, the Russians did not desire to take black people as slaves.
Another good point he makes is that ever since the 9th century, the Russians have always been able to repel those who desired to destroy them. And today is no different.

๐ท๐บ๐๐For those who think that everything is bad in Russia.
Here's an illustration. A friend of a member of our team is now in Vishnevsky hospital in Moscow. A surgery on the spine. All on a quota.
She didn't pay anything. The girl is not from Moscow.
So she was put in a single room, with a shower and toilet. The food (the photos she sent to her friend) is delicious. Yesterday morning she was operated on. She feels fine now. Even without painkillers. She refused them herself.
The staff at the hospital is amazing, according to her friend.
We wish the girl a speedy recovery! โค๏ธ
