Aussies are demanding a cash guarantee and questioning the Reserve Bank's online digital currency experiment.
So far, 99 per cent of Australians say they want a government guarantee that cash will always be available, even if a digital $A is introduced, according to the survey below. (Click through to have your say .. ten easy, quick questions).
95 per cent don't believe Australia needs a digital currency.
78 per cent say accessing cash is getting more difficult in their own local area.
A central bank digital currency trial was announced by the RBA on 9 August 2022:
"Interested industry participants will be invited to develop specific use cases that demonstrate how a central bank digital currency could be used to provide innovative and value-added payment and settlement services to households and businesses." (RBA Media Release 9/8/22)

On Saturday, 25 March 2023, NSW will be heading to the voting booths again. IMOP is registered but we are self-funded and we need funds to get our campaign on the road.
Our goal is to raise $200000. With your help we can do this!
Today at 9am Sydney time we will launch the first of our fundraisers, a Christmas raffle to win a beautiful Thermomix valued at $2359. There are 300 tickets at $25 each (plus a small Floktu admin fee). A fantastic present for yourself or someone you love β€οΈ
