we started struggling to communicate like the way we used to. little misunderstandings turned into bigger gaps. instead of feeling close, we felt disconnected. we tried to work through it, but eventually we both felt like we weren't being fully heard. we decided it was healthier to step away rather than keep hurting each other. :]

we broke up because somewhere along the way, we stopped bringing out the best in each other. the relationship started feeling more draining than uplifting. we were both dealing with our own personal issues, and instead of supporting each other the right way, we ended up clashing. after a while, we realized we needed space to grow individually.
