Children get more from one day in the forest than a lifetime in a church.

They do not need indoctrination, but creative and spiritual freedom.
The wild is our sanctuary, where we have communion with our gods and healing of the soul is found there.

“Nature and children are natural playmates; they're both wild and messy, unpredictable and beautiful.”

PERUN STATUE

For Slavs, Perun was a God that invoked many statues honoring his name. In fact, idols made of oak trees or stone were quite common in pre-Christian Slavic culture in the image of Perun. The oak seems to have been the most prominent form in which images of Perun were carved. In fact, many Slav villages would carve an image of Perun into the most prominent oak tree that was nearby where festivals were often held.

The Bear & The Maiden Fair

One of the oldest and most widespread elements of Hyperborean faith is the Bear cult. While this can often be traced to a bear mother progenitor there is also a male Bear god, sometimes depicted as a Hairy Wildman.
Found in Fairy Tales, Legends, Myths, and even Wilder Mann customs, the marriage of the Maiden Fertility goddess and the Bear is seen across our lands. The Bear Tsar in Slavia is often seen trying to find a young bride, in the tales of White Bear King Valemon & Snow White and Rose Red where Earth's fertility is connected to the marriage of the Bear and the Maiden Fair. In both the entrance to the Otherworld or the Underworld is implied much as when a bear will go hibernate only to emerge when life returns.

Through these ancient times to modern day this connection echoes, until recently the belief bears would kidnap women and sire Half Bear Supermen was widespread, while women were believed to be drawn to the most bearlike of men.-TLK

Do not be misled; Pagans don't need priests.

Why don't Pagans need priests? Because priests work at churches. Churches are for sinners. Pagans aren't sinners. So we don't need priests.

Break the cycle of sadness
Our people have become so serious it seems they look for reason to be offended when really we are an irreverent people. We are so irreverent that this very irreverence is how we show our reverence!

How much more irreverent can a people be than to laugh heartily at the very storm trying to sink their ship?

A word of inspiration from Danheim: original video here

When things get hard remember this as what is spoken here are more than mere words. They are a way of life. A way of life doing what is right. A path to godhood.

It is often asked, if tribes like Vikings and Saxons had such powerful Gods and were so honorable and sure of their ways, then why did they get converted to christianity?

Well, in short, they didn't. There are plenty of descendants of those tribes alive today who still adhere to their ancient Ethnic Spirituality.

What happens is weak people, who make up the vast majority, get converted.

It's exactly the same thing we see today. The strong; the brilliant, are few and they are incorruptible. It's always the weak masses who can be manipulated and corrupted and utilized to overpower the strong few by sheer numbers.

But the strong - The Gods of old, they never die. Like Nature, they are invincible. They reside within us and through the cycle of the ages, they always rise through the strong again.

When you see the weak holding authority, that is the sign the Gods of old will be returning..

Soon.

Urglaawe, Pennsylvania Dutch Heathenry

In America we have our own branches of Heathenry such as Urglaawe, which spawns from the blatantly Pagan folkloric traditions of the Pennsylvania Dutch, while there is some bleed over with the Eddic tradition the main focus is on German gods such as Perchta, Ewicher Yeeger, Eckhart, Lollus, Zisa, King Frost, and especially Mother Holle who is the patron deity of all Pennsylvania Dutch, and is credited with guiding them to America to escape oppression and watching over them from the Hexenkopf mountain nearby. She is directly tied into many holy days such as Grundsaudag and Allelieweziel and many folktales, many of her and the other gods stories are tied to the American land and incorporate many German and American customs including Steins, Hex Signs, Distlefinks, and more. As Holle is the leader and divine patron of this German-American tribe, her sickle is the symbol they wear in contrast to the Mjolnir typically worn by modern Norse & Germanic Heathens.

We here at Hyperborean Radio would like to give props to the Tribe of the Fox, they have been doing some great work bringing attention to lesser known and sadly oft ignored gods such as Hludana, the Matronae, Baduhena and many more, they have also been bringing attention to Dutch Culture and possibly most importantly bringing attention to a maligned and important sacred animal, The Fox. So go check them out if you haven't already and if you like what you see give them a follow, they are a bit more "weird" 😜 then we are but who says that's a bad thing.

Cheers Fox Tribe, Cheers
