Been working back over Spengler's Decline of the West, and two interesting points: 1. He absolutely rejects "Europe" as a valid category, 2. He refuses any continuity between Ancient Greece and Rome and our current Western Civilization.

We must confront these difficult arguments

This parallels with many powerful realities. In an absolutely magical universe, 'magic' is unnecessary. 'Magic' is not real because everything is already magical, and so in truly spiritual living one does not occupy one's time performing rituals and crafting spells. The Golden Age empire, like Heaven, does not need to be dotted with grand temples and pre-occupy itself with lavish state ceremonies of a religious nature. Its mechanisms and way of being already perform these subliminally; holy ritual is built in to every action of the culture. There is little to no distinction between church and state, monk and warrior.

People often wonder if there is a Western equivalent to meditation. This is it. This is the core of Platonism: the contemplation of Being, of reality in itself. For sure the Ghibelline Middle Ages were a great age for a great people. And surely they also expressed both Germanic and Roman characteristics, for a somewhat Romanized Germanic people. My contention is with the idea that this single great culture is the exemplary culture, as if it characterizes a great culmination of all prior European greatness, for all of Europe. This is foundational to the entirely modern idea of 'the West' as a unified entity, complete with a pan-European 'white' identity. Unfortunately this is not the historical reality. We today are as divorced from the crusading lords and their country serfs of yore as much as they were divorced from the Gallic and Germanic tribal stocks from which they came. What happened a millenia ago was a flourishing of the Germanic race after their contact with Rome. It didn't create 'Europe,' and it certainly doesn't define all that can be called 'European.' We can appreciate this time and place and the people who created it without feeding fundamentally modernist narratives.

This is why Evola went on trial, under allegations of trying to resurrect Italian fascism. It’s not just because his books were spicy, but because he was writing books, meeting with & mentoring, and playing godfather to groups that were actively involved in coups.

This whole “Operation Gladio” thing - hell, the OSS (which became the CIA), was all basically created by Evola.

You see, Evola’s idea (and the reason he was in Vienna at the time of the bombing which paralyzed him) was to have a bunch of intelligence & terrorist cells planted all across Eastern Europe - so as the Soviet’s advanced & pushed back the Nazi lines, these cells would become an integrated network, behind enemy lines, actively causing disruption.

After Germany fell, this network was handed off to NATO & the US - lock stock and barrel. Thus the OSS was born.

In Italy, the Strategy of Tension was put into place, to basically use terrorism to make the Communists look bad, and force the State into a state of Emergency - all towards the restoration of Fascism.

CIA was chill with that, as long as they weren’t commies - whatever.

Literally Evolas idea that he gave to the Nazis, which was implemented on the Eastern Front, which after the war was given to the US and used to create the OSS intelligence network, which became the CIA, which became NATO/CIA Operation Gladio, which advocated an anti-Communist Strategy of Tension in Italy, which culminated in attempts to install the Black Prince & MSI (open, blatant Evolian thought, through and through) as the government of Italy.

So a few quick things

1. We do not believe in a populist solution. The revolution will be from above. It will be those with wealth and social & political influence.

2. We believe those people (you know who you are) should rise up in their institutions, and exert the influence they can - forming secret groups & networks.

3. These secret groups & networks should be closely tied with Russia & the European East. Some may even choose to expatriate and do their part there.

4. This Revolution is first and foremost, a spiritual Revolution. Not a popular spiritual revolt, but a revolt of a hidden order. We must acknowledge the spiritual influences at work in the world, often by the biological markers we see playing out - and bring ourselves into contact with those influences, so we may use them in our favor.

5. We must acknowledge the biological fact - as our lands become overfilled & deracinated, they become lost - likely forever.

6. Actors at the home from must make every effort to stop this flood. Actors who choose to regroup in the East must begin setting up the new Center for our culture and Civilization.
