main takeaway for me is to not focus on too many things at a time
we sometimes get too ambitious with resolutions or goal settings, which eventually leads to being overwhelmed or inaction

Jonathan Ross, Founder and CEO of AI chip company Groq, offers a contrarian view: AI won't destroy jobs, it will create a labour shortage.
He outlines three things that will happen because of AI:
First, massive deflationary pressure.

Peak-end Rule
The peak-end rule is a cognitive bias that describes how people remember an experience or event. We judge an experience according to how it felt at its peak and at its end, rather than by some perfectly aggregated average of every moment of it.

Goal Gradient Effect
The goal gradient effect is the psychological principle where motivation and effort increase as individuals get closer to achieving a goal, making them work harder and faster as they near the finish line, like a runner speeding up near the end of a race or a user completing a loyalty card.

one thing i find myself worrying about recently is that
i need to somehow abuse AI to escape before society catches on or wakes up to whatever that is happening to the world
in all aspects:
• geopolitical
• AI
• social structures
• etc.
if i could use the classic adoption chart, i'm guessing we're in late early stage
it is incredibly sad because i know that the average countrymen do not care much (for varying reasons) and will not even realise when they are about to be hit
also realising that majority of people are severely underestimating how quickly society can shift and how fast AI can accelerate from here
the societal advancement curve has crossed over into the exponential phase (aka parabolic chart) with self looping LLMs
at the same time, maybe i'm just consuming too much doomerism content (again)
onto lighter thoughts

after digesting multiple marketing books and materials, i've come to realise that in essence its really a matter of
context and perception
probably why i find myself being so fascinated by it
being able to bend human psychology to your advantage must really feel like playing God
marketing might actually be addictive if you're able to do it well

enjoying commuting a lot more in 2026 as well
i find the odd solitude peaceful because it means that i get an undisturbed window of time whereby i get to read my books
in addition, finding myself listening to less music in general too and it feels like i'm getting sick of it? spotify hours are dropping a lot and songs don't stick as long as they used to anymore
has anyone gone through this feeling before as well?
