good read on why Gen Z doesn't just consume the past, but inhabit it Zoomers are imprisoned by the Archive https://default.blog/p/gen-z-lives-in-the-archive?r=d0q5b&utm_medium=ios&triedRedirect=true
We think of time as being continuous, as involving one event following naturally, causally after a preceding event. But living within the digital archive disintegrates our basic, linear perception of time. Since every era is equally available, and all events are potentially happening at the same time, the chain of causality and influence breaks down completely.
The internet functions to preserve everything, and it’s easy to get lost in that great, gray sea. The problem of selection, of where to put your attention, is increasingly grave and increasingly intractable. The mind cannot find a definite port-of-call in this endlessly heaving, endlessly shifting reality. Curating vibes isn’t enough.
“You sensed that you should be following a different path, a more ambitious one, you felt that you were destined for other things but you had no idea how to achieve them and in your misery you began to hate everything around you.”

feels like internet has done a lot of distancing and dissociation in general
we’ve been watching others and news happenings through social media like a ‘digital zoo’, which numbed us over time
these are real wars, even if the scale is not the same as WW1 or WW2
probably not just be a singaporean thing, maybe it’s what the internet has done to us
this war is also mostly executed through drone warfare, which is another topic of dissociation in taking a life as well

Having sex less than once a month is associated with a 60% HIGHER chance of cardiovascular disease vs having sex 1-2x a week.

this is going viral on some reddit threads, even international subreddits
thinking about it, it might have been a 5-head marketing 180 IQ move by her as an influencer

well, probalistically speaking it's lower than her just being ignorant, but if true then i actually think its genius

There’s real neuroscience behind this and it explains why most interview advice is backwards.

The entire country is literally educated to be middle management, middlemen and white collar service providers.
We’ve literally built the economy on offering the best NPCs to MNCs and we’re about to pay the price.

add 2-3% film grain in capcut. removes that clean digital look instantly
drop a light background noise layer under your voiceover. coffee shop, room tone, street ambience. ai voices sound…

conditioning modern women to only go for the top 1%, which results in unrealistic expectations and imbalance in the dating pool

interesting comments to these questions, especially regarding looksmaxxing
why is every conversation with 20-35yo men about looksmaxxing?
what do you think is the reason?

some thoughts I’ve been having recently:
- why is every conversation with 20-35yo men about looksmaxxing?
- why are P/E ratios on stocks so high when the future is so uncertain?
- what is the win condition for the US and why does it look like a militaristic…

Precisely.
The definition of "rape" (sex without consent) is very male-brained, and when you try to copy-paste it onto women, the edges don't line up.
Men almost always have a crystal clear idea of what we want, so the question of whether something is…

when we say women have rape fantasies, its moreso being pursued aggressively despite their rejections
rather than the physical act of raping that society thinks of (sex without consent)
also ties in with the "marry a CEO" fantasy: https://t.iss.one/humblespace/1061
